This is the thing that sticks out of my stock exhaust pipe. I'm itching to put my new pipe on but I have no idea what to do with it. It has the word REEcat on it. Do I plug it up? Remove it completely? Leave it open? Any information on it would be incredible. I'm trying to get this pipe on and tuned tonight :]

So will I need to plug up the hole in the airbox or just leave it open, rejet, and enjoy the extra airflow?

That is a reed valve that allows more oxygen into the catalytic convertor so it burns cleaner according to my scooter dealer as mine has a similar device . Now mine only has a single hose going to the airbox but it looks like yours has two hoses . The after market pipes do not have this . Mine goes to a T connector that I may replace with a butt splice , like a small tube to join two hoses or simply cap it off . Any auto part store should have vacuum caps . With a free flowing exhaust you may want to opt for an air filter . I think the type that curves forwards look weird and like the look of of one that does not curve forward and blows the exhaust away from me . Here is a great thread on 2T exhaust 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=exhausted&action=display&thread=1391 I am unhappy that almost all places that sell pipes do not have the max rpm listed in the specs . It sux that pipes for 72 or 90 cost so much more as most are for 49cc . I think the LV HM70 is what I may get as I am still researching and saving up for . I would prefer to gut mine and cap off the reed valve attachment as it has a big expansion chamber . I first thought it may be a RPM limiter since it mostly stops at 8,000 and downhill at 9,000 and then it sputters and I have to let up on the throttle . I would never want to go past 10,000 on a stock crank but a racing one is 200 to insane and worth the money but man alot of work to replace . Will a pipe designed for a 90 work with a 72 or 75cc after testing diff jets ? I have a 75cc BBK ( that is what the box says ) and all the others I see are 72cc . Unsure if its a misprint or marketing market like those 100cc BBK that are 8x rounded up . I want to see what all the 49cc can do with pipe and Dr P variator before I put on the BBK . One day I would like to bore the case and put in a 90cc piston and crank and hate to have to buy another expensive pipe

Thats spare scrap, and maybe a couple spare hoses lol, justskiddin EGR valve. Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. Or yeah, emissions. Ide really like to see a new scoot right out of the box, with emissions hooked to sniffer and see what and if those even do anything with and without that extra emissions stuff?

I would expect to see at least a reduction of NOx at idle. Just because of the reduction of combustion temps. As long as its working properly an egr doesnt really affect performance as it only opens under high vacume. IE idle and light cruise.
