The building that the above video was shot from can be seen in the video below at :08. Its the funny shaped building in the center of the 3 buildings (RBC Plaza, super expensive condos) and the one on the right (BB&T Bank) is the building in the foreground of the video above. Same area: My mother lives just a few blocks from this area. She just got her power back yesterday. I love how the guy in this vid just walks through everything like he owns it all. Oh and picks up some ELECTRICAL parts, walks through wires etc. I have seen people doing this every day since. Crazy. Since the tornadoes I have been working 16 hour days (electrical work). No time to play with the scoot. 22 deaths. The 4 in Raleigh were children ages from 6 mos to 9 yrs, all in the same house, siblings. www.wral.com/news/state/story/9468755/it said 22 earlier today, now says 23. R.I.P. Damage Pics: www.wral.com/weather/image_gallery/9454493/Pics part 2: www.wral.com/weather/image_gallery/9454493/The Lowes home improvement store in Sanford NC was TOTALLY destroyed...with people inside..and NO deaths. Amazing. The first part of this video is of the Lowes store, or whats left.

This guy was on the phone with his sister who lives in NY. The Walgreens is in the foreground at 1:13 and can be seen being destroyed shortly after. This guy was on the WRAL 6pm news today. He is a NCDOT employee and was in a Ford F550 Utility truck. He said that when he told his sister "I love you" he thought it might be the end for him. Wilson is East of Raleigh down US264.

Absolutely terrible natural carnage. On TWC they just said we're on track for the most recorded tornadoes for April ever.

Some local Red Cross guy was on our news tonight. They were saying unskilled people were not wanted for the relief effort or could not be used. Looking at all the debris everywhere, it's hard to believe they can't use manpower in general, skilled or unskilled.

Looking at all the debris everywhere, it's hard to believe they can't use manpower in general, skilled or unskilled. The unskilled people they are talking about are no doubt people like in the video above whom, 30 mins after the tornado hit, are walking amongst high voltage lines and picking up electrical parts. In my years of doing electrical work I have seen people doing crazy things such as this in the aftermath of hurricanes and tornadoes. That fella above is seriously lucky he is not dead. I sent the link to that video to everyone on my email list, very educational on exactly what NOT to do in the wake of a natural disaster.

This is the guy in the Wilson video that has gone viral on youtube. www.wral.com/weather/video/9469233/#/vid9469233jmkjr72: Yeah the red cross did plenty of dirty deeds like that here in Raleigh after hurricane fran in 1996, (the eye of which passed right over Raleigh) I have never had much regard for their organization since then.

Never heard that stuff about the red cross before.
It does make sense when you mention the dude in the vid Speedy. I guess a few bus loads of people running around trampling on power lines would be a pretty bad thing. :zap:

Things can always be worse than your own stuff can't they. That is so strange, like because the walls are gone there are no boundaries.

Yeah, I guess some people think no walls means go where you want. Here is a graphic of the Paths of the tornadoes: I am scary close to the path of the one that goes through Raleigh. And a crazy pic I found, mother nature dont play: This is a trip too (literally) "Raleigh couple find Sanford computer supply box in yard The box traveled about 60 miles from the Sanford business, which was hit by a tornado during Saturday's severe weather." BuwHAhAhahahaHA!!! IT TOOK MY HAMBUGA! FRIZE AND DRANK TOO! Damn sure lucky i didnt take wayyyyyy more than that there pebo! My supervisor frowns on us taking pictures..we have to maintain an "image". I have seen some crazy stuff though i can tell you, really sad stuff too. Here is one that made it: www.wral.com/news/video/1082826/#/vid9488420I have seen many creatures over the past week that did not- pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, horses, a peacock and lots of wild animals. Strays of all kinds everywhere. Pigs, cows and chickens are easy to locate the owners, they are tagged, turkeys too. Horses, dogs and cats are harder. The shelters are overflowing. An 11 year old found her horse about a mile away in an old pasture. Some people had been feeding it apples and carrots so it hung around lol.
