I'm starting to want a 2t instead of this 4t scoot. so what i was thinking was selling my beater getting a 2t and making the VIP my new beater. the problem is i don't know which are 2ts. so i was wondering if you guys could help me put together a list of 2t scoots to look for (or stay away from)? I'm definitely gonna wanna mod the hell out of it so, please keep that in mind.

you have the yamaha zuma 2002 to 2005 and 2008 to 2011 that are hm scoots (unless it came from canada there is no 2006 and there were no zumas in 2007) 2012 they became 4 slows you can look at the genuine line of 50 cc scooters both the rough house 50 and buddy 50 are hm 2 strokes they do have there own intake system diffrent then the rest they did have a rattler in 50cc and they also had the rattler 110 genuine also had the 150 cc 4 speed stella that untill 2010 or 2011 was a 2 stroke
hyosungs run a morinie 2 stroke
kymco still has a few 2 strokes but i can remember what modles they are older ones are the cobra agilty(make sure its a 2 stroke they are know 4 strokes) the super 9 both air and liquid cooled

That's a pretty long list of possibilities, there. Be careful when you go looking because I have seen ads that declare that a scoot is a 2T only to see the oil filler cap very visible on the right side behind the cooling fan (dead give-away to a 4T). Thats aid, let me add a few to the list: Jonway Magnum (rear disc brake!) Keeway F-Act Evo (The website says it has a rear drum brake but the pics say otherwise) Keeway RY8 (The website says it has a rear drum brake but the pics say otherwise) Vento Triton Li (also with disc brake at the rear) Peirspeed R50X (rear disc, of course)

Do you chambered exhausts on these bikes come that way from the factory? Those look a world apart from my crappy Geely scooters...

The "easier" swap is into a 125-150cc 4 cycle frame (for a horizontal Mina, or clone) just requiring some engine shimming. Some China scoots have both sets of mounts on the frame (upper for 125-150 and Mina clones, and lower for the 50cc GY6, so check yours)
A frame with only the GY6 50cc mount (lower) can get away with a vertical Mina, or vertical Honda (50cc, 80cc, 125cc) with only some shimming (and exhaust fooling), but may look weird as these motors are short case. The 150-250 liquid cooled Honda 4 cycle is almost a bolt-in too (short case again!) Another "problem" with these older motors is the alternators are not exactly high output.
And of course there are the $500+ motor mount kits to hang a Mina in a Ruckus.
And you can fabricate your own mounts, if you are any kind of welder, with lots of patience.
Do you chambered exhausts on these bikes come that way from the factory?
Yes, but they, in most cases, are not true chambers, and only made to look that way.

NH125 (Aero). Actually the mount only becomes a "bottom mount" when you snag the oem honda engine mount. Because the exhaust is a bit of a strange effort (and the motor is a short case) you will be fabricating two flat iron tabs from the 50 GY6 mount to the Honda mount.
BTW: all the early Honda scooter motors all live in about the same place, making mixing and matching fairly easy.

And TMM (too much missing) to make it economically feasible. Really, you should buy a donor, the little "bits of stuff" will eat you alive.

would have to be titled as a motorcycle though because its a manual gearbox :/ That depends on where your neck of the woods is. From what I am understanding from a dealer in FL, manual or auto, if it's under 50cc, no endorsement needed in that state.

I lived in Floridistan for a while and while you dont need an MC endorse, you do need a car endorsement. S.Fl is lawless though, you can do anything you want and get away with it, but, I digress . . . To stay on-topic, I daydream on this page occasionally. Lots of good 2t stuff: www.scootersus.com/ Im really worried I might pull the trigger on a Triton at any moment. I like these, too :
