Got everything on took 10mins to start it. Idles good and revs good. I went to ride it a little, it was pretty good last night. This morning I have been idling it and riding around a little nothing fast or anything. Then I took it for one last ride and came to a stop sign and it stop and I have yet to start it. I am getting fuel I have spark. There are times when it sounds like it wants to start, but my leg is getting tired of kicking. This blows. lol I have not been having a good time with this scooter. Wish I could work the kinks out.

Hope everything smooths out for you! I was having hard start issues- it turned out that my cylinder head nuts kept coming loose resulting in low compression. About once a week when she didn't start on first kick I'd re-torque the bolts down. I finally "double nutted" the cylinder heads and my hard start issues were gone! Just an idea...

I had a thought in my head that maybe the cylinder head nuts came loose. I will check them out now. Thanks for the info.

Sometimes they will loosen up as niz suggested, but also check if your plug is wet. It could be flooding. Could be a stuck float or carb adjustments too rich, or it could be as simple as it died from being a little rich and then got saturated with fuel when it wouldn't start immediately. You can take the spark plug out and let it air out a bit before trying to restart it. If it doesn't start, try holding the throttle wide open to let more air in and see if it responds to that.
Hope it's that simple. If you do get it running, be safe in OC. I'm sure you've noticed it's bike week. Last year I had multiple occasions where I thought Harleys were gonna hit me in the truck. I think some is drunks and some is just an inability to ride, but either way look out for them.

I found out that one of my wires to the auto choke is cut. Don't know if that would stop me at a stop sign. I noticed when I did get it started it was very slow rpms until I lightly gave it some gas. I'm going to trying everything.
I never planned on going into OC this weekend anyway. I was working at Dead Freddies yesterday and watched a guy park his bike and just fell right over. him and his wife went right onto the pavement. Some people just cannot ride. I'm sure its something simple. On the way home We had at least a dozen motorcycles almost hit the truck.

Ok well I pulled the spark plug first and noticed that the gap was closed on it. Which tells me that the piston hit the plug. I pulled the ring off that one and put it on the new one to give it some more room. BAM scooter started on 10th kick. I rode it around for 10 minutes getting the rpms up to 8k when taking off which is a little high for takeoff. Hasn't stopped yet. Also I tightened the head nut and I will keep checking them throughout the week to see if there are any changes. Hopefully everything is tight and where it needs to be.
On takeoff now at slow rpms the scooter seems to shutter but the rpms stay normal. Not sure what that could be and also I noticed it goes to 8k rpms when getting up to 30mph then cruises at 6500rpms.
The BBK I bought is the SCrappydog nikasil 47mm. Couple things to note about it is that It looks well manufactured. Except where the nuts go on the head bolts. You see I had to cut out some of the material from the cooling fins in order to have clearance for a socket. Not sure if anyone else has purchased this cylinder before, but I found it kind of odd to have cut out material in order to get a socket on. Even a thin wall socket wouldn't fit in there to tighten. Just an FYI if ordering.
I still can't get used to how loud it is and how high the rpms get on takeoff. Doesn't fell sluggish though, it's just me not used to a BBK. I can't imagine how loud it will get when I put on an exhaust. lol

Without power to the automatic enricher it will always allow additional fuel past on the idle circuit, so once it's warm it could be too much for it. If you tune it so it works when warm, then it may not want to start when cold especially as colder weather comes around.
If the gap is closed and there is no sign of contact it may not be that anything hit it in the engine. Not sure about that kit, but with a lot of combustion chamber and piston designs, unless it's the wrong plug, you shouldn't have anything hitting the plug to close the gap short of some kind of failure.
Possibly a clutch problem if the shudder is just at launch.
If your cylinder/head nuts use a 12mm socket that may be part of the issue with Scrappy's kit. Some nuts are made for the same size stud with a 10mm hex head instead.
