Ok working on a viva scooter for a friend 50cc 2 stroke with a 28mm lippo carb jets were totally plugged and i need to replace what size are the originals and where do you recommend looking also what would be a good replacement carb? it is a flanged model that bolts to the head, its for a teenage girl so ride ability and reliability are most important, speed and performance aren't thanks guys

:welcome2: Check the tech library. There's and index in the front that should point you in the right direction. Either that or wait till your post catches one of the 2stroke pros eye for a better reply.

I'm not familiar with that carb but you should be able to clean the original jets. Soak them in carb cleaner and hit them with compressed air.

I soaked them for a day and the build up was so bad I had to drill them out. Went a little too big so it runs way to rich now.

28mm is not the carb of choice for reliability and ride-ability on a 50cc. I don't know about that model, but typically 14-17mm carbs are stock on 50cc 2Ts. 19mm would be as far as I'd go for stock.
