Im in the middle of commiting what you 2t huggers would call a crime.
I swaped the engine in a 2006 zuma for a GY6150cc. (will post pictures later)
Engine starts fine, iddles lije a baby Harley.
My problem is, it wont stop with the key switch or the KILL button.
Any advice before i go "redneck" with the kill wire from the CDI?
Im using the zuma harness, zuma starter relay and GY6 CDI.

Maybe the CDI is wired wrong. You'd have to post a wiring diagram to see where you need to check the wiring for voltage, etc.

Drain the oil, tighten the valves real tight and run the hell out of it. That'll shut it off. Lol

Got it kind of fixed up.
If i push the ignition button, then hit the kill switch (to OFF position) it starts.
Hit the kill switch again ( to ON position) and it stops.
lol

Problem fixed by switching and sorting out the wired of the rectifier.
I did go over all of what i had done yesterday and you can proudly put them fast bunny shirts on. All was good except for the somehow different rectifier.
Still have to have the kill switch on the ON position to crank up the starter, then quickly throw it on the OFF position to run. I guess that's because the zuma is wired gor a DC system and the GY6 is wired for AC.
Now gonna repack the pipe. Its as loud as Clank.
