My scooter runs good, i have got about 450 km on it, starting and warming up is a different problem, every morning is different, sometimes it will fire right up warm up andrun good, others hard to start, others start warm up and then rpm up and down until i ride it andwarm it up, it has new lines new plug. The weather is changing here in Louisiana but nowhere near cold lots of humidity. The carb is stock sealed.

taotao carbs are mostly junk, you can't adjust them and even if you unseal them they don't last. you can get a good aftermarket carb from scrappydog or ebay, keihin is a good one to consider if it is authentic. you will find that a lot of the idling issues and hard starts go away with a good carb. i have had a couple taotao scooters and have worked on many of them and i would say 90% of them have had the carb replaced including the ones i owned.

Also Taotao has very bad employees, ive had new scooters come in with absolutely no valve clearance, and sometimes just a little off that need to be adjusted in the first 500km. Stevec is right, a 19mm keihin comes with a #85 jet which runs great in most conditions, and will properly feed a bbk when you get tired of that 49cc
