So I just got my spree running after sitting for 20yrs and is good but this morning I went out to start it to let it run and keep the new battery charged and had it start and run for a quick second only not to start so I choked it through the air cleaner box and it started right up once its warmed up it starts fine but when it's cold it won't I'm thinking it's the Choke Starter Valve would anyone agree on this ?

You can check the enricher by measuring it when cold. Then reinstall and let the scoot run 5 minutes. Take it back out and measure again. It should extend once it's hot. If not, you have no power or it's not working. If it's always extended then you would lack enrichment at start up. Stuck retracted it will make the scoot run rich at idle after it's warm.
I don't find auto enrichers to be very good at dealing with cold weather even when fully functional.

I hadn't read your message yet but I started it today and I tried to ride it and it has lack of power no take off and boggs would this problem cause the scoot to have no power under a load but as soon as I put it on the stand it clears out and sounds fine but I get nothing from the air mixture screw I can completely take it out and it still runs like it was still in the carb ? I did noticed it smelled a little rich and the Idle fluctuates from time to time so I will do what you posted only have to wait for it to cool down now Or would the lack power be a clutch and belt problem ? Thank You Sir I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP from you guys D.

Just chuck that unvariated AF-05 and get a variated AF-05 or even better an AF-16... Even sprees with Ruckus GET motors, minarelli 2t's, GY6 50's, and 150's are not uncommon!! ... That AF-05 your working with is worth 0 time IMO The lack of power is a SPREE problem, ask any real spree owner... tehe

Sounds like a good idea and I've thought about it but what all does it take to swap out 150cc gy6 it says it comes complete on ebay but is this a plug and play deal as far as the wiring to get it to run or does it also need a harness too ? I understand with a GET everything has to be swapped out and what will have to use for the rear wheel set up on the gy6 ? thanks, D.

Most likely run a 12 inch wheel on the rear with a stretch, you will need, brake cable, throttle cable, and fab up a mount and shock tab.

No don't do a 150cc four stroke! A decent 70cc 2 stroke is faster than those! lol I dog on four strokes sometimes but it's all in jest. Four strokes have their advantages- gas mileage is the only one that comes to mind atm haha but us 2t fans are 2t fans for a reason!

Go AF-16 or AF-05 its virtually plug and play as far as wiring is concerned. If you go minarelli I dont know how the wiring works out.. But someone on this forum hung a 2t minarelli on his spree with great results.. It like "SPRUMA" or something like that.

Im building another one for a friend in spring as well. Not the easiest of swaps but super worth it. Spree frames need a lot of bracing if your a bigger person.

The first time i saw a mina swapped spree i hated it! It was like seeing a LS1 under the hood of some douchebags stang... But Im actually growing fond of this swap now... The mina in a spree not the ls is a mustang, I still hate that.
