As a mechanic, usually ignition is the first at fault, but the first thing that you investigate, methodically and not guessing and throwing parts at it, is to start from the foundation and work your way up. The foundation of any engine is the compression. What is your compression, cold and with full throttle after several kicks or about 5 seconds of electric starting with the kill switch off?
