One1, The parts I recommended aren't for your scoot. I thought you had a 50cc but I see in your pics and signature that yours is a 150cc.

Unfortunately with the amount of metal in that engine case it's gonna need to be torn down and rebuilt but the only things that will need replaced on the lower end are the case gaskets. The other bad news is that to take a 150cc apart you need a 27mmx1mm left handed flywheel puller and a special tool to remove the starter clutch nut. I have two 27mm flywheel pullers. I could ship you one for a ten spot to cover a small priority box. That other tool is a special impact socket like this: It removes this left hand threaded nut that holds the starter clutch onto the crankshaft. Brent and others have made one with a deep socket and a grinder. There are videos on youtube showing that nut. The other thing that can be a pain is the kick start gear on the crank behind the variator. It's a pressed on fit and hard to get off sometimes but technically you really don't need to remove the crank from that side of the case. You can just leave it in there and flush the metal out with a garden hose, towel it and the hit the bearings with some WD40. Then flush the other side of the case, dry it, put it back together. The cam chain tensioner plunger has to be retracted with a small screwdriver as you install it and once you get the bolts snug you can release the screwdriver. You have to remove the large Phillips cap screw from the tensioner to retract the plunger The whole job takes about 2-3 hours. You are just re-doing the crank case. The tranny doesn't need any attention. Or... you can just throw a new top end on it and ignore the metal in there and sell it to someone else. I wouldn't/couldn't do it to someone else but that's me. This is everything you need for just the top end or a complete rebuild all in one shot for $80 shipped. Thank you I'm going to see the total cost once it is put back together and decide to keep or sell. I do like the scooter. It's unstoppable when the engine is right. I dragged 2 people up a mtn at 45 mph and it never bogged once. I've never had such a determined scooter. The power band seems so broad, it never stumbles or feels like it's not got enough pull to it. Ps I made a socket already for taking the case apart for a 125cc I rebuilt 2 yrs ago. I'm most scared of what happened and how to avoid it again. Does anyone have any theories as to if the plug went first, the valves, or the piston head? I was happy with my old 100cc 2 stroke. This 150cc 4 stroke is new territory.
