Hello again...I ride my scooter year round. Today I took it out and ran fine until I stopped at stop sign, then I gave it some throttle and seemed like it wasn't getting fuel. I kept throttling and it finally took off, Came to another stop and it did it again, kept throttling and then it took off again. The Idle seems to be bogging down a little. It hasn't done this before. Fuel filter is six months old. Could it be the petcock, fuel lines, or something different? ...Thanks

I have a 49cc chinese scooter mostly stock except for racing cdi and orange coil. I put a new carb on it 3 months ago and upjetted it to 80 main jet and 38 idle jet. Is that too much for warm weather, should I bring it back down to stock jets?

are you still running the stock air intake and airbox with the new carb?

If it was running fine when it was cooler and is a lil' rich now because it warmed up you'd probably only need to drop down to a 75... not sure what your stock jet size is but it can be dangerous to your engine to just pick a size and go with it- give it what size it wants by trying a few...

You could try adjusting the mixture screw first...and maybe lower the needle a clip position. Worth a shot. If that doesn't work then yep..may be time to crack open the carb and downsize the main jet a bit.
Could it be the petcock? Probably not but sooper easy to test fuel lines? probably not but pretty easy to see if they are bad usually or something different? ALWAYS the best answer!

It's got a stock air filter, and the new carb is OEM...I think I'm going to put the original main jet back in the carb tomorrow. Can I leave the #38 idle jet in still? It gets better take off with it. When I upjetted I had to turn back the mixture screw to about 3/4 turn and it was still a little rich. Now that the temp is 80 degrees i'm sure it's very rich. ...Thanks guys

IMO it might be water in the fuel I have to watch where I fuel as the temp raises so does the water in fuel I get and in tank from condensation but then again it's just my opinion
