Yesterday I took the scooter out and it started right up. When I came to a stop sign then tried to go it seemed like it wasn't getting gas, then it took off. It did it again when I left the store, throttled it, wouldn't go for about 5 to 10 seconds then took off, so I took it home. Today I pulled it out and checked to see what the problem was. With the recent warm weather I thought my problem might be too large of a main jet so I downjetted to stock. I took apart the carburetor and put jets in and it's getting fuel. I checked to see if it needed a valve adjustment and they were good. I didn't try to start it until after I checked the valves. I then tried to start it and it would crank but not fire. Checked to see if it was getting spark and it wasn't. Changed spark plug, cdi, solenoid, ignition coil with ones that I know are good. Battery is good. Still won't start! ... Could me turning the flywheel cause the trigger pickup coil to not work correctly?... Do I have a bad trigger pickup coil? ...Would the rectifier/regulator have anything to do with no spark? ...Thanks

Disconnect the wires from the stator that are prob black/red and blue/white. Black/red is power to the CDI and blue/white is the pickup. Kick or crank the engine over and check for AC volts on each. Black/red should get up around 50V hopefully. The other should be something like 0.5V.
