I have a rudkus clone. When I start I use the double kickstand in starts and runs fine. Idles hight for a minute while warming up like it should. But when it's ready as soon as I take it off the stand it idles really low and dies. Looked for loose grounds didn't see any.

Look around and see if anything could be pinched or squished when there's weight on the frame like a fuel or vacuum hose.

It's jetted for high altitude operation. Re jet for low altitude and you'll be good Sry. Couldn't resist. I think Brent has the best solution I can think of. Weight of the chassis and sitting on it is causing a hose pinch or there's a small crack that closes when it's on the stand and opens when you take it down....maybe?

Thanks guys I looked for all that nothing getting pinched. I did notice a Crack in my spark plug wire I taped it up no change. I'm going to wire brush my grounds tomorrow morning and see if that changes anything.

Check ground wire from engine to chassie , had 2 of these with poor grounds were sandwitched between plastic engine cover & front area where it bolts down. Im referinfpd to the plastic cover under seat that has the flap for carb. Access. , also the wiring connector from stator dont like to stay locked togather , i usually zip tie them to be safe. Hope any of this helps?

Two Questions:
Does the rear wheel spin when idling fast up on the stand?
After the engine idle slows down on the stand does the rear wheel stop spinning or does it still turn?
The reason I ask is that I'm leaning toward a clutch issue. I think maybe it's grabbing when it shouldn't like you may simply have the idle set too high. If the scooter is trying to move without any throttle either the idle is too high or there is a clutch/clutch spring issue.
BTW, you said Ruckus "clone" but you posted in the 2 stroke section. What engine do you have in there?

Your right sorry it is a 4t. Maybe an administrator can move it. I'm going to pull off the plastics today and look it broke down last night won't crank or even turn on. There is a wire that had a fuse coming off the positive on the battery. The fuse was bypassed by the original owner. That wire is now getting really hot and actually melting. I think that might be something to do with it.

I think that might be something to do with it. I would tend to agree. Burning / melting wires are not often a good thing. You didn't try cranking it over too long without a cooling off period did you? Also, do you remember "anything" electrical not working properly before as that might give you some idea of where to start. I like Fox's suggestion because I had a clutch once that the bearing seized so it was basically locked to the transmission output shaft (in a manner of speaking) and would never spin freely. It could cause an issue that sounds similar in some respects to your issue. Could you be facing more than one problem here?

Use any details you know about when this happens to help you track down the problem. For example, does it only happen with the key on or is it fine till you try to start the scoot etc...
You need to put a fuse in there. That won't solve the problem, but it should help to prevent farther damage or worst case a fire. 10A-15A fuse is what most use.

Thanks guys! Yeah it has all kinds of electronic problems I put head lights on it cause I couldn't find replacement bulbs. Tail light has a switch to turn it on. My left turn signal don't work speedo light don't work or fuel gauge. So yeah I know Jap crap. But the motor seems strong. I'll put an fuse in but I think it will just blow it right away. When I turn the key on the wire melts. Won't crank even during the few seconds I hold the wire to the battery. Break light And turn signal don't come on either. the funny thing was I started it just fine an hour before this happen. I let it warm up cause I thought I was leaving.

Ok, so one end of the melting wire is connected to the battery....
Where is the other end going? Ground?

Ok, so one end of the melting wire is connected to the battery.... Where is the other end going? Ground? Not sure where it goes but my guess is its an ignition wire cause it wouldn't do anything when it's unconnected. Like the key was off.
