Thats not a real expansion chamber! Its packed with baffles and a catalytic converter also.. So i assume absolutely zero performance gain?

Correct. My RX8 had the same heavy stock pipe. You're much more limited on the performance pipe for 90cc+. (Semi affordable)

I hacked one of those pipes open and have pics of it,no good for anything except the silencer makes for a good base to build a race silencer with some work..

Well after doing some thinking and scheming I chose another route, I found a 2009 keeway hurricane 50cc two stroke(assuming miranelli clone)
7200 miles and well taken care of, It had a recent layover and it broke one mirror and gave the bike a small amount of road rash.
$100.00 loaded up in the subaru and down the road.
The crank alone was 100 bucks. Thanks all for the help!

That motor should drop right into the first bike if it is in better shape and the standard BBKs work with it. You can save the fm motor for a big build later or sell it to someone else that wants to build a 90 plus and recoup some money

Actually the new bike is in WAY better shape, it was an older gentlemems and after the spill on the scoot he decided to sell, he didnt even want the aggrivation of fixing it and getting what its worth, ill post some pictures tomorrow, btw the old scoot was a geely...... anything beats a geely.
Ps what motor is on the hurricane 50 two stroke? Miranelli i assume

Not sure but the Minarelli is the most common they will look like the fm motor in your other scooter. That old motor would work good for a 90 plus build for you o or someone else if you want to get some money back. They don't require machine work to accept the 90cc crank and cylinders. Congrats on the new scooter

It turns out the motor is a 1e40qmb Thats good because a new head will be on order shortly, 7k miles on an original head is miracle enough.
