Just bought a 2 stroke 49cc Venice scooter, the gut that i bought it from didn't know much about it except that it ran good for a while. he parked it and a week later it wouldn't run anymore, he drained the battery trying to get it to fire back up and then sold it to me.
so i charged the battery, and got it to turn over again but now I'm not getting any spark what so ever. i thought it could be the coil or the cdi so i went in to the local scooter shop and they thought it might be the alarm unit that is causing it to not have spark and recommended that i bypass the alarm altogether.
I need to know which wires i need to connect after unplugging the alarm, anyone have a clue as to what i need to connect in order to get spark?
any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You sure it's not the kill switch? You should try disabling the kill switch to the CDI first. Use a precision flat screwdriver or paperclip to remove the KILL SWITCH wire from the CDI Connector. As far as scooter alarms.... (Usually but not always)...Black / white wire would have been cut and spliced into the alarm with a pink wire on one side and grey to the other. Remove the grey and pink and re-connect the black/white wire to disable the alarm kill.

no I've already bypassed the kill switch as well because i thought that may have been the problem.
i don't have a black/white wire going to the alarm. i think this was an alarm that came stock with the bike?? i could be wrong. still brand new in the scooter game. i do appreciate your help human shield!!
wires going to alarm plug:
red-hot red/white-hot with key on green- light green green/white green/yellow green/black black

Look at your left and right blinker wires and see which ones match the alarm wire colors. That'l identify those.
Does it have a siren horn? If so what color are the wires to it? If not, what color are the horn wires?
Black should be ground. ("should")
The remaining "should" be ignition kill.

Also, there might be a plug somewhere in the harness that is used to bypass the alarm. Do you see a spare plug with like one wire jumper on two terminals?

ok cool so right blinker is green/white left blinker is green/black
there is no siren horn but the regular horn is brown and black. red is hot red/white pretty sure black is ground so that leaves
green? light green? green/yellow?

Cool...so we know that.....
red - hot red/white - hot with key on green/white - Right Blinker green/black - Left Blinker black - Ground
green - Often also used as ground light green - green/yellow -
See if the green with Yellow stripe goes to the starter relay / Solenoid

There should be a harness in the front near the ignition that was plugged into the alarm. Unplug the alarm and jump the blk/white wire with the blu/brw (or blu/blk I'm color blind)

Hell yeah we got spark!!
Thanks for the help guys. Now on to the next problem. Can't seem to get this thing to run right. It will start and barely idle then if you give it any throttle at all it will die. So I'm assuming it's not getting fuel? Or maybe to much fuel??
Not sure but I'll search the website for common problems and see what I can find.
Also I noticed that there was oil dripping out of the air inlet on the carb? Is that normal? I'm assuming it was mixing oil from the oil tank.

One of the common problems I always seem to find is carb float height. They're very touchy- the float hangs too low and fuel doesn't shutoff correctly and drains all the fuel from the line and overflows bowl/drips/floods scoot etc. If the float is too high fuel can't come into the bowl fast enough and scoot starts cutting out after 600 yards WOT etc. Very touchy. Basic correct float height is to turn carb upside down in your hand and the float should be level/parallel. Just another lil' detail to check!
