Off a car?OK put an old battery in hooked up jumper cables and still doesn't want to start, well it almost starts but just won't turn all the way over even with starter fluid?I figured that would happen didn't have it running just had cables hooked to truck battery, also seen something that's not normal just now seen smoke coming out of shroud screw holes so now I'm thinking the oil seals are shot and that would give me a no start issue I'll have too dig into it tomorrow, can't believe a scoot with a little over 1300 miles could have blown oil seals already?

Not recomended, but If jumped from a car , dont have the car running. , or poof! Instant scooter McNugget! Just my 2 cents.

Maybe a loose ground wire, the kill switch button is gone I have to use a screw driver to slide it from left to right

Crank seals can go bad from sitting for extended periods (shrink/rot) not sure on minarellis , but old vespas/lambrettas & vintage dirtbikes they shrink & suck air. Or suck in gear oil depending what side was bad.

Re cleaned carb pulled out intake re sealed it with some rtv, still no go,one thing I noticed was the spark is faint when I hold it against metal,I'm wondering if its the coil or if the rectifier is going bad

Check the spark with a wide gap... like cut the ground strap off of an old plug or use an HEI tester or adjustable gap tester. Sometimes they fire the little gap and look alright, but they won't or won't consistently jump a larger gap. If it will jump the big gap consistently then spark should be alright. If not start checking pickup and exciter coil output. www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9-mr7BXIho

What is the compression on this motor? If you don't know thus begins the consequent tail chasing that goes on and on.

Did not check yet I'm thinking oil seal is bad might just hold off and do the 45 mm crank and 54 mm cylinder in future, need to start focusing on the l.c tgb build I started but quit cause I was getting frustrated with the stator not working!!

i jump mine straight on the starter. red to the wire that goes to teh starter, just pull it off and touch it there, and ground right on the starter body. thats the best ground for the motor.
