Ok i got my electrical issue figured out but now scooter turns over but won't start. Little history i wrecked 2 months ago. Scooter started right up next day and boyfriend drove it for about a week with no problems starting till my electrical issue. So it sat for almost 2 months before i was healed enough to tackle it. It will turn over with no problems but doesn't act like its trying to start. Could it be bad gas since it sat for 2 months or bad spark plug? I checked the spark plug its a little black but not bad. Checked to see if it sparked. It did but wasn't much if a spark but then i don't know how much of a spark it should have. New to working on scooters so in slowly learning. Any help would be appreciated

BUT I still have a scooter thst will turn and won't start as well.I've done all I could and everyone on here has been so helpful but now have to take it to someone after spend well over 100 hours on this thing. I must be an idiot.

Ok carb cleaning looks a little more complicated than what i was expecting. Someone told me u couldn't because i had a sealed carb, true or not ? Also someone said to drain out gas add some seafoam (?) And a little fresh gas and try starting it. What the hell is seafoam and how much would i use? Also had suggestions to remove gasline hose to carb and just spray some care cleaner in. Any thoughts on any of these suggestions? Don't know anything really mechanical about scooters and don't wanna mess it up worse.

Most newer scoots do have sealed carbs. Seafoam is a fuel additive. Some people swear by it. I never use it. Wouldn't hurt. You'd want to drain the carb bowl too, not just what's in the tank. Should be a hose coming from the bowl with either a screw on the end that will open it to drain or one on the bowl beside the hose. You could take the air filter pipe off and squirt a little carb cleaner in there with the throttle held open then see if it will fire up. Carbs can be opened up even if sealed, it just takes more tools and effort. Buying a new carb may be just and cheap and easier. Possibly a better idea in the long run. Definitely don't put a new carb or cleaned carb on with that old gas in there though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLpkf2LINzo

Where would be the best place to order parts. I need brake switches and a battery too so would like to be able to find a good reliable place to order everything. don't really have any tools either. Cause right now I'm ready to just take it to a shop.

PFS and ScrappyDogScooters are a couple of good choices IMO.

If you use Seafoam,it will keep your gas fresh up to a year or more but you have to clean the carb and fuel system first. You can buy it at Walmart $6 plus change. 1 oz to a gallon of gas. I use it in all of my small engines and they start right up every time. Saves me from cleaning fuel systems after they have sat for months. Awesome stuff!!!
