They require different size rollers. And I don't know what size yours takes so I can't say. I would definitely suggest getting some tuning rollers because they make life so much easier. The Stage6 ones are really good and last almost as long as a regular roller. So you can find out the correct weight, and they'll last a fairly long time. These stage 6 variators come with stock size rollers. I will try the roller mixing tomorrow. I think i have some rollers in my stock variator, they are probably leo vince ones

The pulleys should recipricate. In other words, when the engine is off, the belt should be all the way to the top of the rear pulley and when you get to your power band at top speed the belt should be at the top of the variator pulley. You have to fine tune everything so that they are in sync and suit your individual tastes.

I also forgot to ask, but did you happen to install any spacers during the variator install?

I also forgot to ask, but did you happen to install any spacers during the variator install? My variator came with two shims that you put on the bushing. But i haven't put them on

I think you said that you are using the stock belt. You may want to try another belt and see if that makes a difference. I am running out of suggestions. Maybe an after market belt that is slightly longer would get the full travel you need for optimal performance.

Just throwing that out there. It seems that may be the only way to optimize your full power potential. You may just have to lighten the roller weights and live with what you have. It will take some trial and error because every bike and rider are different. There is no exact science to tuning a sooter transmission although I wish there was.

It will take some trial and error because every bike and rider are different. There is no exact science to tuning a sooter transmission although I wish there was. Today i was looking at my CVT helplessly and i tried different weights and while riding back home after trying different weights i came to this: I remembered how the drive boss of the variator looked like it's a bit too long, it covers like half of the crank splines. Then i remembered also how my drive boss of the stock variator was a bit shorter. So I came home and the stock one was barely 1mm shorter so i just went and put it on. So I went to drive to town and immediately I felt the scooter just went forward accelerating real quick. So basically, how shorter your boss is, how less your variator needs to separate to pull the belt to the top. Of course, you lose some bottom end takeoff because the shorter boss puts you belt a bit higher, but at least you get your top speed. So i took the cvt case off and it looks like the marking i made with a marker is half in lenght then it was earlier. Tomorrow i'm going to shorten it another 1mm and see what it gets me. I'm already going 75kph.

Good deal!!! Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference.

Hahaha. I was amazed when i felt that much of a difference, first it went 60-65 tops and now with a 1mm shorter boss it goes 75kph no problems
