Help!
I stripped the engine case screw hole when I put the screws in at a wrong angle!
How can I fix this? ;(

What is it called a helicoil kit. Just need to know what size bolt and thread you plan on using. You do have some bite with the other screws so integrity shouldn't be an issue. Just cosmetic till you get it fixed.

The time sert is so expensive. The helicoil... What if I use a strong epoxy so it doesn't fail?

Depending how bad it is ? You may get away with cleaning up threads with a tap & new bolts? Or sometimes depending on the size can be tapoed to std. Bolt pitch. (6mm-1/4-20 etc) or helicoil inserts if all else fails. Always start fasteners by hand to prevent this in the future.

It's pretty bad, all the holes won't hold the screw. The screw just turns without much of a resistance.
Yes... I learned my lesson... I'm getting a little impatient with unscrewing this thing over and over again

Helicoil kit is prob your best option at this point. Imo. But after done they wont ever strippout , stronger then original threaded holes. Just verify the bolt size & thread pitch & visit any auto zone etc. For the inserts/install tool.

Can you get a nut on the back side of the case and use a longer screw?? No, there's no hole and one of them is in the center of the case too.

Ouch! The center one is an important structural screw..I feel ALL CVT case screws should be installed and tight before any real use..Just a few for quick tuning runs, but no more..We had a member here snap his engine in half making a hard turn,he only had the center screw holding the CVT cover on..The case cover adds big strength to our 'single sided'swingarm. Please repair them before daily use..

Ok, so how do I determine which helical to get?

Take one of the good bolts to the store with you and match up the threads with their labeled bolts. Then you know what helicoil to get. Start with M6x1.0. Very common on scoots.

A Heli coil IMO is better then the original threaded hole!!!! Waaaaay better and stronger,, you will noticed what I'm taking about once you insert one!!!!! Good luck and you will mostly likely be spending close to $30 on a good helicoil set!!!!!
