I have been looking for some time now for the front engine cover and a seat bucket for 2012/tao tao 50cc or renegade 50cc. Any advice in repairing them or making an alternative. Was doing some tuning on my motor and left that front plastic guard off not a good idea that front guard supports the seat bucket.

Well I just went out to the garage guess you really do need to let that stuff sit for a while can't guarantee how long it will hold up but enough for now.

Plastic Welder has been the best thing I've found, but it won't do anything for the stuff the seat bucket or floor is made of. Works on the other panels. I've tried "welding" with zip ties or even old seat buckets to repair them and I guess I suck at it because it never really works. I can patch it up but it cracks in short order.
You can get creative with metal and make a new seat support or bucket. A support could be done somewhat easily, forfeiting under seat storage. Making a bucket would take quite a bit of effort. Maybe a thick fiberglass version would be good, but again it would take some effort.

Yeah think I'm going to weld something up using round stock don't know what I'm going to use for the mounts was thinking of some type of tube stock with a nut welded inside of it. Then use bolts instead of existing studs.

I hd that problem with my bucket seat nuts. I used a plastic bumber repair kit. Now its better then stock. The good thing about it is that it has a bit of flexibility, so the cracks dont reappear.

I might just try that for a temporary fix until I make something better after all my exhaust is coming and I'm excited. I got no work done on the scooter today I got called into work decided to give it a break. As someone in this group mentioned 110 jet was too much I'd have to agree going to change that out tomorrow been having issue at idle after riding a bit and you can smell the fuel coming out. As for the seat I called my local steel company for some 1/8" round stock. I know I sound crazy... Well I am.... I'm going to mount it with some 1" flat stock and then build a webbed frame from the round stock. I got the idea from a few places 1 from a shopping carriage 2 from my friends roll cage on his nitro rc truck. I'd trust a shopping cart more than I'd trust that stupid chinese bucket. You may be asking yourself why I choose 1/8" I don't have a set of real torches, but I do have a decent welder. The other reason is I'm getting 12' sticks for .78 a piece the woman told Me over the phone told me they only had 1/2 a dozen I told herd take it all. For the risers I will probably use some type of steel tube welded to the 1" flat stock that have a washer welded to the bottom and will mount like the stock seat. Then from there I will make a basket from the round stock. If I decide to have a compartment under the seat I have contemplated the idea of sewing up a thick canvas bag with another bag sewn inside of it with a drawstring the thick canvas would have brass eyes it to mount it to the basket. Or even more simple if I have enough webbing I could just use a bag with a drawstring. I've also had an idea for making a detachable storage crate that would mount to my existing stock rack. (Basically like a milk crate but hopefully much better looking) please feel free to criticize me I would love to know what you guys think hopefully I can figure out easy enough how to upload some damn pictures from my phone. If at all this comes out decent I'd be willing to make these for a low cost so everyone can get rid of that stupid chinese plastic bucket. I can almost guarantee the ones they sell to themselves don't have this cheap option.

I do I just see better. What do you expect for 600/700 retail. Yes they are cheap but they are damn easy to work on and I think the gy6 is strong motor. I have really have no other complaints beside the seat bucket.

Oh I don't know if swearing is okay here so I won't.... I would just like to say in my north east accent I use when Im MAD!!!! Screw YOU YOu STUPID STUPID SCOOTAH!!!!!!! Well I will get some pictures hopefully before I beat it to death with my 8# fix all and through it on my trailer for scrap. I don't mean the seat I either I mean the whole d#$mn scootah!!! Got my new exhaust in had to hook it up I got it running but my kick start like the other one started to go the teeth in the gears are stripped. I also think my starter is going because I could smell it and it was hotter than all hell Luckily I have two machines but I already used the other cvt and kickstart the other one did the same thing plus cracked the cover. I know why I'm having issues I know its because I am powering it above what it was meant to do. My trouble all started when I took my carb off to adjust the jet like a dumb a$$ I should have taken the plug out to bleed the fuel to the carb. Seats coming along its not pretty but I'm hoping it will work.

Okay I really need to clean my garage but my fiancee keeps taking time off and making do non important things like go to weddings and hang out with our children instead of letting me be in my garage to myself and work on my scooter let alone ride it. I keep getting dirty looks every time I decide to go for a ride. So anyhow I am going to try to make a promise I will clean the garage take some footage of the progress so I can give my scootah buddies an update. P.S is there anyone on here that would be willing to stand up to my fiancee and explain to her how important scooters are.
