I'd be concerned that the new air filter may be more free-flowing and it could make it run on the lean side. The plug being wet after trying to start it doesn't necessarily mean you have to proper amount of fuel while running. It does at least tell you that the carb is delivering fuel.

I would still do a thorough carb cleaning and go from there. Sounds like it is getting fuel, just not enough.

Damn, my dad hasn't got time to clean the carb since he comes back late from work and it's pretty dark then to remove the carb and clean it. I'll take my old air filter out and put it back in and see if it does anything. Could it be the drive belt do you think if the carb cleaning doesn't help? It might be worn or something?

This does not sound like a drive belt issue.

I've checked now if it's the spark plug so I've taken out the old one, put it in and still loses power.
I've also checked if the fuel is going through normally and it is as it should be.
I'll check the carb tommorrow with my uncle and see if it helps cleaning it.

Cleaned the carb, glued together the air filter plastics as there was air escaping and works all good now Thanks for your help.
