Thought carb would be in by now. Looks like it will be in on Monday.

Mine came today, stock CVK clone by kun fu. Bolted it on, turned the idle mixture half a turn and set the idle. Idles perfect and purrs like a kitty.

As does my new carb. 32 pilot, 85 main. My scoot runs really great now.

Paulmohr. Your observation is very helpful and insightful and it's going to make this whole issue that more interesting. The carburetor didn't come in today. Whatever is not revealed by this exercise will certainly be found out during the next rebuild.

Carburetor is in. Now let's see what happens. Am going to try installation this evening.

The installation is delayed due to the throttle cable and also my reluctance. Now I am hearing from other 139qmb owners who are saying they idle at one speed. Hear me on this: People keep on saying vacuum leak. My idle spends a proportionate amount of time too high, too low, and in the middle. A vacuum leak would indicate an idle that is too high. And it can't be a vacuum leak because I went through the whole system. Anyone with some ideas?.

Get a $24 ebay carb & plug & play. (Ajust as needed ) then if issue persists fix the vacume leak.

Erratic idle usually points to lean jetting. Try richening the a/f screw...

Oh my..... Well just as a joke us millwrights say we make engineers look good.... What about your valves have you tried adjusting those yet?? I also know adjusting my rollers made a difference. When adjusting my carb never made a lick of difference where my adjustment screw was if it had an idle issue I'd turn the idle up and adjust the air fuel screw until I got the highest rpms then turn the idle down. Other than that I found most of the time my issue was the jet size or when my engine got too hot and would die because I was over working it with heavier rollers.

I have adjusted the valves to spec on the plate .4mm intake and 0.6mm exhaust.

I also have to get a dirt bike throttle cable for the Yamaha jog carburetor that I have. I got the throttle just need the cable. And to those of you continuing to say vacuum leak, my idle goes down as well. And the emissions controls are not causing a vacuum leak either.
