I don't have any idea on how to hotwire but all my scoot has for protection is a single wire on the cdi that sends the spark to ground. It's a really silly design. I'm thinking of installing the cdi in the seat instead.

I think I could have got him down a bit more.Good find! Yeah, they should have given him $20 just to haul it away because of the missing parts. You can't expect people to work for free.

Well, the electrical issue would be the stator plug connection. I have swapped stators from a 50 to a 150cc before (8 coil)
The other issue is the engine mounts. On a 150cc they are on the top of the engine whereas the 50cc has them on the bottom front so you are going to have to do some cutting/welding/head scratching etc... but it can be done.
The flywheel puller needed for the 150cc is a 27mm x 1mm left hand thread. It screws in reverse.
The 50cc's use a 24mm x 1mm right hand thread
You can use either an 835 or an 842 belt on a long case 150cc.
