Says his belt keep breaking and wants to know why.. I pop is cvt cover off and low and behold he has no variator nut on there... So I put one on I had laying around but my real question is ... WHY THE HELL DOES HE HAVE A 2 STROKE PIPE ON A 4 STROKE SCOOTER  |

Some 4 poke pipes are made like that. They look like a 2t pipe, but are made for 4t.

no u can tell it was cut and welded on near where it connects to the engine.. if u zoom the pic u can see the weld

If it runs good, i dont see why not. But then, i fail to see why a restrictive pipe would do him good.

It's a stock pipe. That's what comes on a GT5 Taotao.

An expansion chamber probably has so much of an appealing appearance that they even adopt it on 4 strokes, even if it doesn't do anything. It think its one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen...

The pipe is standard Gade,but 3 things interest me.1.Someone brought a machine for you to fix? 2.He rode it over without a vari nut? 3.Where did the nut go that you needed to supply one?Sure you chased the crank threads,applied a little blue loctite,and used a torque stick on your impact so he would not have a repeat.

he didnt ride it over.. he brought it on a lift on the back of a minivan

The Lance Interceptor 4T 150cc scoot has a similar pipe stock on it. Side note: That chrome accent piece on the fan cover restricts air flow into the cooling fan so if you ever get a scooter with one on it, remove it and throw it away. A few 150cc models have them installed on them.  |
