I forget to post last Saturday (May 11) and this past weekend (both May 18 and 19) rode the TGB Express 50 all over Hollywoodland once again for my newest side job at the pizza restaurant. Rained a little Sunday morning, so had to get out the Ford Transit van for the first run, but when I went back to the store for my next delivery, it broke down (oh, darn--battery) and rain stopped (miracle?), so dragged out the scooter to save the day, but really for a day of 2-stroke riding and tips (and a good hourly wage, to boot). My old side job in downtown I got to ride that restaurant's Honda Metro 50, and going up any kind of steep hill was laboring at best. Once I gained confidence, it was all Yamaha SMax, but sadly, that restaurant closed down last October. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, new job, new part of L.A. and compared to the Metro, this other restaurant's 2T is like night and day on steep hills. A few orders go into the Hollywood Hills, and if you are familiar with that part of L.A., those very narrow streets can get quite San Francisco-ish in steepness; the Express buzzes right up those hills like, well, a little 50 stroke should (not a rocket, or SMax, but not ready to need to pull over and catch its breath like the Metro did on occasion). I am thinking that I might need a TGB 2T for myself...

Had to ride home from work early today after a yellowjacket greeted me, getting the helmet on and off was painful.

On my way back HOME from work, I was flying down a 35 mph street doing 50. A ways up ahead, a car started making a right-turn-on-red into my lane. I could see them, but they were next to a blossoming tree that was obscuring their view of me. Pretty sure they heard me coming, because they suddenly hit the brakes. Lady had her window down. She was upper middle aged half gray scraggly looking. I was going too fast to react by the time I saw her righthand middle finger steadily held horizontal at me. HAAA!!! That shit cracks me up. I think she was pissed because she could only hear me coming and didn't know where I was, otherwise she would've gone. I get people on the street regularly covering their ears in a conspicuous manner when I go by. Yeah man, it's loud. Really friggin loud. Funny thing is, the number of numbskulls pulling out in front of me has drastically reduced since I've had this pipe (and engine) installed. A-h-h-h-h w-e-l-l-l-ll lady!

Rode the mighty Joe's Pizza TGB 2T all over Hollywood delivering pizzas and whatnot to customers. I am behind the times as I don't own a GoPro or anything of the sort as I figure people would be interested in seeing what it is like riding a delivery scooter in moderate to heavy traffic.

Yes indeed went in for a couple hours overtime. The Zumas turning out to be a trusty steed. Probably gonna park it and make it my main project. Take the RX8 as a daily. Happy Memorial Day! url=https://postimg.cc/67WQWrxT] [/url]

Rode the TGB Express 50 all over Hollywood, CA today for my weekend delivery job. I will have to get some video one of these weeks! Back at it all day tomorrow... I used to deliver pizzas on an maroon ‘00 Zuma pre-bug on Fort Myers beach, FL when I was 15-16 years old. It was my favorite after school job. My father rigged up some old coca-cola crates (borrowed from behind a 7-11.. don’t F* with COCA-COLA! lol) and hacked them up wide and tall enough to carry up to 6 pizzas with a little room left over for a bag of 2-liter sodas or wings. God I wish I could find pictures of it, I know they’re around somewhere.. This was around the time the bugeye was released and there was no delivery type of scoot for the US market that I was aware of. It worked out great, made up a sign with the shops name and number on the back, tourist would get a kick out of it and always asked questions/got pictures. Ended up selling that one after awhile and rigged up a ‘90 baby blue/white, drum brake pre-bug similar to the crate style rig-up only this time with painted plywood. I’m sure y’all are like “cool story bro” but I thought I’d share that as it was fun times.

I ride to work a lot but don't post up here unless there's a story. While waiting at a light on the way back home, a beat-up dark green minivan with a disabled mirror-hanger sign was behind me, some old beat-up fat dude with the over-sunglasses.... pulls up next to me in the right-turn lane and asks what it was. I said "Honda," he said, "that's cute!" I just go along with it, "thanks man!" He said he has a Harley. Ahhh, now it all makes sense. Whatever other small talk there was, does it require a license, etc. He had drill in the point again, and said "that's cute." I was like, "yeah, thanks man!" He obviously had something to prove due to a small issue in the groinal area.

As promised, or maybe I thought I promised; borrowed a GoPro and recorded some deliveries. Here is one of 4 I recorded today.

No, I was not the one honked at. Lots of honking, however, in downtown L.A.and Hollywood. As promised, or maybe I thought I promised; borrowed a GoPro and recorded some deliveries.
