I pretty much finished up grinding on the cases and cylinder today. You can really spend some time grinding on stuff. I also pulled the Stage 6 intake assembly and some other parts that I need for this build off of the motor that is currently in the ZX50. I wanted to see how the S6 intake matches up to this set of cases.  I also wanted to test fit and compare the new S6 FMK reed block to the S6 NBR that I was using. The top block is the one that comes with the CT intake kit you see everywhere for these motors, bottom left is S6 NBR, bottom right is S6 FKM.  Here is what it looks like installed, with a 21mm dellorto.  I took advantage of Treatlands 20% off sale just before it ended at midnight last night. I picked up some small end needle bearings, 2 Doppler Alien eye air filters one of which I hope will fit this setup, a spare set of rings for the Polini corsa and enough of other small bits to make the $150 free shipping minimum. |

Here are some pictures of pipes I have to work with for comparison. I see both of mine are poo compared to what ryan_ott is working on. LoL! linkThis is the one that I originally put on this scoot along with the BBK, and ran a good while before I had to park the scoot due to bad crank bearings. It sounded pretty good to me, and seemed to make decent power.  This is the pipe I picked up from feebay shortly after I bought the scooter in anticipation of doing a build one day. I have not tried it yet. It was cheap so I just jumped on it.  Side by side  Header detail  |

I like the Taiwan pipe, it has a nice tone and decent power. All the Honda guys love the pg pipes. I would probally run that. Is that the short or long?

I was surprised tonight when I looked inside it with a bore scope. There is a direct pathway all the way from the header to the exit at least the size of the stinger, nothing is in the way! There are baffles but they are not in the direct path whatsoever. I guess I will have to try it, but I would rather have a true expansion pipe. Is the pipe you are building modeled after a particular pipe?  |

It's not modeled after a specific pipe.. Just put my cylinder specs into a pipe calculator, adjusted parameters to my likeing ( rpm, hp, etc, trying for a 1.6 deg head pipe) the specs are similar to a C16 ish. Specs are on page 5 of my elite build

It looks like you're losing quite a bit of crankcase volume with that reedblock. Are you planning to do something with that or leave it as is?

got looking for a pipe for my friends peugeot tkr furious, and stumbled across this facebook page. the pipes they have are awesome looking and seem to make awesome power. YFIS Racing FactoryHeres some pics of a couple of their pipes.    |
