Hey guys
it was cold this morning about 45. The scooter would not start after many many try's
spark plug is saturated with fuel. So this is what I done. Now I have had trouble starting it for a while even in warm weather.
Once it starts it run great with no problems. This is what I checked this morning.
it has good spark but spark plug was wet with fuel when I took it out ,I took it out 5 times and every time it was wet with fuel.
checked no fuel getting into intake from petcock.
i had charger on battery the whole time so that I had full charge for starting.
checked valve clearances ,they are good. So then I checked compression ,it was at 160lbs
finally after checking compression I put spark plug back in and it cranked right up and ran good.
then I let it set for about 2hours and it started up hard but finally started and ran good.
i did notice that if you give it gas and try to start it , I,think its flooding out. If you give no gas and try and start it takes about 5or 6 try's then it starts ,but if you give it gas it won't start unless its already been running and still warmed up.
I also checked for vacuum leaks and did not notice any cracked lines. This is a Farely new scooter. I put this carb on another scooter I was working on a month ago and had no problems starting the other scooter up. So I don't believe this is a carb issue.
I would appreciate any ideas cause I don't know what else to check
