Ok I guess I fixed it, the headlights are workin great. Problem is I don't quite no what I did. I didn't have a light bulb to test ,so using my multimeter I keep checking the headlight and was getting a 6.5 v Anyway I just started checking grounds and cleaning them up. I found th ground cluster under the gauges and they were somewhat corroded, cleaned them up. Then I seen some blue wires thet didn't seem in to good of health, so I cut and spliced them, then soldered them back together. My bulbs came in today and lights work great. So I can't really tell exactly what it was, sorry

Well I thought I had it fixed, started doing the same thing, same problem. But this is what I did. I took out safety switch on on rear brake handle , I then hooked it back up but did not install it back in brake handle. It fixed the headlight problem. I then took another safety brake switch and replace the old one and installed it in the brake handle and my headlight problem started again. Headlight gets dim. So again I unplugged safety switch ,pulled it out off the brake handle and then plugged it back in leaving it out off the brake handle and headlight works great. So I'm leaving the safety switch out off the brake handle. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is ?

check the grounds or maybe the switch has some short in the wires.. try tracing back the wires coming from it until u find something wierd.. might be some ground u missed or maybe oxidized bad
