I added the stinger length to the picture I posted previously. Did another 30 miles on it tonight, It is a BLAST! No problems or slow return to idle so I dont know what the issue could have been last night. I ride the needle on this setup, it's easy to find the sweet spot of the throttle around 6/8 - 7/8 throttle. I give it full throttle to cool it down a bit if it creeps up to 330°F on a long WOT run. 330°F is not bad for a long wot run. Sounds like its dialed in decent.

It is a killer pipe IMO, a bit loud, but wide power band. I may get another one myself. Put another 30 miles on it last night, and going for another ride now. I just cant get enough. therapy. Hopefully I will get some video and sound real soon.

The +15% contra spring I ordered from Racing Planet got here the other day, along with the rest of the stuff I ordered from them. I had some time yesterday so I swapped the stiffer spring with the stock Kymco spring I have been using. The stock Kymco spring is pretty soft but it has been working really well on this build. I was trying for just a slightly stiffer spring, but the spring that arrived is considerably stiffer than the stock Kymco spring.
I did not change the weights or anything else in the CVT, only the contra spring. With the stock spring the rpm's were around 8750, top speed was around 52mph. With the stiffer spring rpm's were around 9150, but the top speed was down to around 48mph. I did notice a difference in acceleration using the stiffer spring. It seemed to smooth out the shift of the CVT a bit, but I would not say acceleration was any better than when using the softer spring, just different. I did notice more heat in the CVT. I took the stiff spring off earlier today and put the stock soft spring back in. Eventually I hope to find one that is just slightly stiffer to try.

This is the first set of these I have ever worn out. They are worn through the side, the ramp plate almost trashed the variator. I have broken more of these than I can count on the mina variators

I moved these guides from my DDX, didn't notice they were worn out. Almost trashed a brand new Treatland variator. The original DDX bushing is worn out, and now the guide rails are gaffed up too. Is there anywhere left to get the SEF ramp plates?

I finally got some scoot time in yesterday evening and tonight. The Harleys are here for the fall rally, and yesterday I did my best to annoy them, pretty sure I succeeded. They seem to hate ugly, loud, fast scooters! Lol. Tonight I had a dude on some type of retro scooter come up and pass me in my lane on the boulevard. I passed him back and he passed me again.... he seemed willing to race! We were caught behind slow traffic and he asked me "where are the plastics?" I told him they blew off I am so fast (I stole that comment from Brent, I think ). He then gave me the "yeah sure" look, so when the road opened up I used the center lane to pass the car in front of us, he followed right behind me. We went for a mile or so, passed another car or two and I thought at one point he was gonna catch me, but he could not do it. We slowed for a hard right turn and I was on the throttle as soon as the road straightened out.We went for another 1/2 mile or so, oncoming traffic was heavy, and there was a cop imbedded in the middle of it. I dont think he wanted us so we got lucky. Retro man turned off on a side road and disappeared, I just kept going. The setup on this scoot is awesome! When the transmission is cold the first launch is really nice, just a very small tug on the bars and the front wheel comes up and for a brief moment it feels like I could ride a decent controlled wheelie if I dared. When the trans is warm a harder tug from a 7MPH roll and the front comes up pretty good if you catch it just right. Is 52 years old too old to learn to how to wheelie good?

Too bad you didn't record the ride.

That sounds like a fun ride! No age is too old for wheelies!

That sounds like a fun ride! No age is too old for wheelies! It really was a good ride. I enjoy riding these 2T scoots so much.
