This is the end result ^^^ I recently traded a pretty decent shape Honda Passport for this Spree. Why did I trade a Passport that is probably worth more than a museum quality condition spree: Two stroke power, tiny chassis, no gears, plus I'd feel bad ripping apart an antique. Condition: Pretty good! Starts, runs, rides and stops good. Could use a good carb tune for sure. Goals: Make it fast enough to be safe on public roads. // - big bore // - Sidebleed pipe // - good carb
<-- Daydream mods: ---->This is happening! - ruckus front end - minarelli 90 swap

Nice spree. +1 on the swap. Especially for something with a cvt.

My (Iowa) Spree, which I currently have disassembled into a 1,000 pieces is getting a Tazland 48mm BBK, an MLM people's pipe, Tazland gears (when he gets them in stock soon), brand new clutch with Yamaha Jog springs, Future upgrades will be a new carb, although I haven't decided on what I'm going with, ported intake and I might do a pully mod. For prettiness, I am currently in the process of painting it Iowa Hawkeye Yellow and Black, I also purchased new graphics which are yellow and reflective, a trunk, a windshield, new mirrors with mp3/FM radio, and various other here and there mods. Here's a terribly done (by me), mock up of what I am shooting for:

Hmmm.....I feel a bit of regret over the lost Passport. Still, that Spree is pretty cool.
I'm still a newbie and no expert at all. But in the 50cc range, I can see the temptation toward a 2 cycle engine.

I'm still waiting on a couple parts to finish mine up, what kind of speed did you gain with the MLM pipe?

I traded a nice 1972 Passport for a Spree and $800. Sold the Spree for $300, it had 900 miles on it. I am way to heavy for a Spree

I'm still waiting on a couple parts to finish mine up, what kind of speed did you gain with the MLM pipe? Hey! Truth is, I haven't done a baseline test. The scoot isn't registered yet. I just couldn't wait to put a pipe on it! I've done some research and found that some big bore guys are running a 21mm carb. It the spigot fits, I might transplant the dellorto off my minarelli project onto this one. Do you have a build thread on yours?

Scooter are cheap here for some reason. It's wasn't as pretty as yours either. Had been in the sun and faded out.

Anything with 2 wheels is hugely inflated here in Austin.
update: I goofed a bit more with the spree an am not terrible happy with it.
The pipe is great, superb quality and sounds excellent. It does magnify the crapiness of the stock carb. It is not a spigot mount, and is the smallest carb I've seen besides a weed wacker. It's gotta go. I do not think it can match the pipe even with jetting.
I have zero power, even when adjusting the mixture.
