my scooter is mostly stock jet upgrade from #83 to 85 the blue racing CDI and a cone air intake drilled exhaust, at first i could get the scoot to about 7600 RPM now the highest i can get it to go is about 7k and at full throttle it boges you can feel from 3/4 to WOT the drop in power what can i look at doing to fix this?

I also just put on an A9 cam gained some top end lost my low end so I put in some 5 gram sliders and gain some low end back and now get to about 7300 rpm

You could try even lighter sliders to increase rpm a bit. Best power if I'm not mistaken is between 7 and 8k.

I just the 85 in sadly every single d I Roderick doesn't fit so I'm unable to adjust the idle mixture and I guessed at the 85 so I try a bigger one?

I would try larger jets and see what happens.

Just for reference I run a cone filter and drilled exhaust on an otherwise stock taotao atm50-a1 sport(VIP future champion) and I have to run a #85 main jet and a #35 pilot at roughly 600ft above sea level. Not saying it will help, just as a reference point.

A pulse is a sign of a lean condition. Check your seal on the intake. This can be done with carb cleaner or an unlit butane torch with the gas flowing. put it all around your intake and base seal. If the idle changes you found your problem.

Bogging is an indication of a lean tune. That stock main jet is probably gonna be too lean with anything other than the stock air box...

Also, check for water in the fuel. Last year, during one of my tuning sessions (that spanned a few weeks) we had tons of rain for like 6 days straight. I took the scoot out and it was hard to start and bogged terribly. I went back to my original tuning and still had the same thing. Then, I checked my gas and, I had about a quart of water in my tank. (It came in through the gas cap vent which I now made a cover for)
Got rid of the water and drained the carb and everything was great again. Very easy to get water these days at the pump. Water leaks into the underground tanks through air vents and also through condensation on hot days from delivery trucks.
I am not saying this is your problem, you need at least a number 85 jet after losing the airbox, but this is an easy problem to check for and could save you a lot of effort. Pull the fuel line from the carb and drain some into a clear container. Let it sit for a bit and, if you see a separation layer, bubbles, or it is not clear, you have water.

well i have check for already... and i did a plug chop with the 83 mj and it looks just right i'm not sure what else to look at when i put the bigger jets in it just pulses with no improvement and it just like it struggling to run.. i can get to about 6k to 7k rpms max and anything beyond 3/4 throttle just bog's down it pulls good on hills and takes off right away which is nice for going ac cross traffic but i sure seems like I'm losing my top end. and i got no improvement from the A9 cam i may just put my small BBK on (44mm) and see what happens
