I just buy a new Malossi Mutivar 2000 for my Piaggio Typhoon 50 4 strokes, 4 valve 2013. With the Malossi kit, 6 rollers (6.1g) come in the package. On my Typhoon 2013 (4 strokes-4 valve) the original rollers weight are 5.3g.Is it better to install the 6.1g in the new variator or keep the 5.3g My motor is all original (49cc) Thank's!

Try them both and find out. That's tuning!

+1 On what niz said exactly. No one here can tell you what rollers will work best for you. Even if we had the same scoot. There are differences in rider weight and terrain as well as your expectations. No one can tune a scoot for you better than you can.

On the same idea as above try each weight and then whichever is best stay with that and then order yourself a set of 1 gram lighter or heavier depending on if you kept the lighter or heavier. Try the new ones and see if it improves for you. if not you know what to do. If it does improve well just keep going in that direction until there is no improvement. And then go back to last set that was an improvement.

I'm thinking You dont have to put The transmission cover Back on each time You test weights
Hhabahbaabaaaa
Without that step it doesnt seem to hard
Catch phrase: Just start the drums!
But then again it was stated you really dont need a trans gasket.
Soooooo

If your scoot is like mine, the cvt cover is an important part of the swing arm and I would never even think about a test ride without it. I have heard of the engine case cracking in half from someone who did this once. I probably read that on here somewhere.
Mine is a 49cc Chinese Gy6...think Tao Tao.
