There was no "original" Roost cylinder box or package, not a big deal though. It was all wrapped up in bubble plastic. No instruction manual, no install instructions, no info what so ever. And the screw cap that covers the hole (sensor hole? ) on the cylinder head was not included. Considering that I paid quite some money for this stuff and waited 5 months the least I expected was a manual with port maps, install instructions, squish info, peak power info, maybe even a recommended ignition setting. This is my first LC rodeo and a hyper race on top of that and no manual kinda.... sucks. I contacted the store regarding that missing screw cap and manual story. Let's see what they say. All this Roost stuff is exciting and all but the experience acquiring one wasn't a real blast. And the missing info and manual is just bad coating on this. Guess next time I better stick with a Polini Evo or Malossi MHR with their bad English manuals but at least that is something. Wonder how the 2Fast cylinders are in this regard.

Looks awesome man, but ya that sucks there’s no manual or paperwork on the cylinder. My S6 r/t cylinder came with very detailed instructions and port layout.

Squish at less than 1mm, torque the head down at 7-10 ft lbs, start your jetting fat. Just like usual haha, just mo' powa.

benji Yeah I know most hyper race stuff have similar settings. But I'll be damned if they are not able to include a damn manual or spec booklet for such a pricey product. And I would love to know how much squish "exactly" is recommended by Roost to get max performance out of it? 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9??? What about the ignition? How much and where should I grind off on the case? I know I can hold the gasket on and just mark the area but I just don't want to do it "just about" style. This is hyper race stuff. Sport cylinders are very forgiving this stuff is not. One mistake and kiss $400-500 dollars good-bye. Well, it doesn't surprise me now why there is so little information out there about those Roost cylinders. If they don't include any manuals with layouts, diagrams and numbers. I hope I was an exception otherwise Roost won't last long out there on the market.

Remember to take a rubbing of the cylinder walls and measure the port timings if you can please! Oh, and maybe try emailing roost directly? roost.si/

Beautiful! And yeah what Benji says. Instruction manuals are for beginners, you're way beyond that man! You'll be alright, do the basic preparations and go from there.
Although it's nice to have a leaflet or something with some pics and numbers and stuff...

Beautiful! Although it's nice to have a leaflet or something with some pics and numbers and stuff... Right? Something that proves you bought it maybe haha? Like a warranty card... But still, it's cool. still do-able.

Remember to take a rubbing of the cylinder walls and measure the port timings if you can please! I will. Port timings will have to wait though till I am at that stage of the build where I actually can ckeck them.

I received a message from the shop saying that it is recommended to put a temp sensor into the head. Well that is true still doesn't explain why there wasn't any screw cap on it. Also received a pdf page with data and install diagram for the previous gen/version. Should work for the new gen too but he'll check with Roost again to see if there are newer instructions available.
