I drive scooter to work fine. After I got off I cranked it about 15 min b4 I left it started perfectly. However I turned it off did my last 15 min and came back to a grinding scooter. I figured out it was my variator here is a video of what was going on could anybody give me details on how to fix vimeo.com/195483707

I would guess one or more of the roller weights is out of place. Remove the nut on the shaft and inspect the rollers.

Opening it up is no big deal to see what happened. Opening it is a simple job. Opening it will tell if you need a new variator.

hmm i think you need a new variator it isn't supposed to move that much in that axis so something is really really wrong xD but indeed when you open it you will see it pretty fast also check that the variator guides are not worn but i think the variator itself is bent how? idk never saw it move that much even when you have 1 roller it shouldn't be able to move so far

Ok bought anything else for my Little project? That will not last you very long. I have gone through 2 of them. They work well with the constant rpm and all but, less than 100 miles out of the first one and a little over 200 miles on my 2nd. Very bad materials are used and, in my opinion, it is too weak. I have the KOSO version but I believe they are the same. Bill

Hopefully when you get it you will research how to install mixed roller weights, if not you will be buying a new one again. Seeing the kit you purchased has 3 sets of 3 that are different weights. You will be mixing like below.

You will be mixing. I am running all of the same weights in mine. I went just a bit heavier (6 gram sliders) to keep the rpms down as I have no tach and that thing will really start screaming on a long straight. You are 100% correct in that kit there are only 3 rollers of the same weight and you would have to mix them if that is all you had. I never even bothered to try to use those springs that were included either. Bill
