The opposite also happens. This is a Peugeot v click And this is a Baotian speedy Same scooter, but if you brought it in a Peugeot dealer it's £300 more! Yeah i dunno what got to peugeot selling this model as their own? They're quite popular over here, those v-clic's. I always thought (before knowing its just another chinese clone) they looked a bit weird for a peugeot.

All 16 inch wheel scoots look alike to me. Was the Kymco people series the mother of them all?

Simply to not bother with R&D, ends up being cheaper to use other manufacturer product and do badge engineering

I think the reason was it could be sold at a much lower price than the other scooters in their range. Ironically competing with the Chinese brands.
