I have a suspicion my belt i just put on may be fake, it's shot out and stretched out in just under 60 miles, plus apparently the price was lower then average and it came from inside china, I barely made it home, and it has so much slack I can barely move. What do these belts typically go for price wise?

'mitsoboshi' would be a dead giveaway for a fake. Buy a Gates or Bando from a reputable dealer like the companies that advertise here.

Mitsuboshi has been around for decades. My belt has about 2,000 miles on it and very little wear. The width has 0.1mm wear. It will last for a lot more miles. I bought mine off Ebay from a dealer in Memphis, TN. Cost is $11.92. I have bought other items from them. Fast order filling. Here is a link; www.ebay.com/itm/321770535608I bought 2 more for spares, but with the slight wear and miles I have on my belt it seems it will be some time before I have to replace it.

Mitsuboshi/mitsoboshi -slight misspellings trap the unwary on the net to 'different' websites.
Misspelled brand names are a 'China thing' when it comes to knock offs. Bando and Gates are the two belts most people around here seem to use. Mitsuboshi are probably OK, they have been around a long time.

I ran across a Maikuni carb that I really wanted to get just for gits and shiggles. It came with big Maikuni go fast stickers and packed in a fancy stamped metal lunchbox sort of case. All proudly branded Maikuni.

On my second Mitsuboshi belt. Had 5,000 miles on the first one, and it hardly shows any ware. Replaced it anyway as part of routine maintenance. Kept it as a spare.
Seems Mitsuboshi is OEM for my scoot. That is what the dealer sold me, when I couldn't find that size anywhere else.
Good belt.

"Dear Sir! How could it be? If it is not real MITSUBOSHI products , it can be distinguished by a glance at hand and no other belts made in China other factory will look like (clear marks, softer) And these belts all from Suzhou, China Mitsuboshi Plant, you can visit here for details: https: www.mitsuboshi.co.jp/english/newsrelease/2015/detail_150728.html And the Mitsuboshi belts made in it China factory's prices is much lower than those made in Japan but it is genuine and not so poor quality as your described as we sold many across the China and worldwide and it is the first time I got the feedback and I will show you the pictures about the goods from the factory as well. And if the belt found the problem in unusual times, the problem mostly because of the clutch or variator or set-up problems and not the belt itself, please kindly check as I really not got such feedback from the customer about this belt before. Thanks for your kindly understanding and best regards, . "

Either that dealer is selling you a snow job, or you got a defective belt, if it's a genuine Mistuboshi.
Lots of miles on mine with very minimal wear.

Iv used Gates regular and performance, Bando, Kymco OE, Malossi, & Polini belts without issues. Iv seen cheepie China belts last awhile too. My guess is you might of got a defective belt if it didn't last long.
