Oh, good. Did not know it was a Vespa. The 50cc China scoots have marking on the side of the gearcase indicating 100ml of lube needed. 120ml for a 'dry' output gear case. The China machines have a gasket between the main case and the right side case. All the gears except the 'input gear shaft', which has the clutch on the other end, are placed into the side case for assembly. Because the gears are spiral cut, you must make sure to replace the thrust washer(white plastic/nylon) in the China cases. I do not know anything about a Vespa... Except how to spell it, and that Gina Lollobrigida rode one in a movie a long time ago. Oh, and they were 2-stroke engines that put out blue smoke. Todays models? Nada. tom

Oh and for others reading this in the future, I replaced the entire clutch, which I suspect is what fixed the not going into neutral problem I was having.
