He was using the O2 to tune his jet size for power and economy. I think he posted a followup video after the season changed and his tuning got 'off'. It seems the sensor would block a lot of the exhaust pipe to me unless a miniature sized sensor could be found. There is a FI system 'out there', youtube video available, looking for 'test subjects', I think. I'll wait until FI shows up on lawnmowers, and then, maybe, see what's up. tom

It seems the sensor would block a lot of the exhaust pipe to me unless a miniature sized sensor could be found. I decided to use oxygen sensor too here's what i find out there are spacers and angle adapters for oxygen sensors not sure if they make it less precise.
Perhaps it can be installed seasonally to check ratio all other times you plug the hole, they sell oxygen sensor plugs as well.
One can just weld 18mm 1.5 nut on the pipe directly or use that pipe connector for a removable setup later you can just turn the connector that will cover the hole
there's also 45 degree angle oxygen senor burg for tight pipes like ours.
To put it one step further there are Air / Fuel ratio gauges for sale, but those are way overpriced and bulky for something that simply converts one digital value (electric resistance) to more meaningful number.
