With a 47mm kit, just replacing the piston, rings and cylinder made the machine feel as if it actually had more than mice running inside a wheel as the power source. The engine responds at mid-throttle where throttle changes previously seemed to have no effect. tom

Alight scooterpimp you're on for the racing! If I leave today maybe I will cover the few hundred miles by Labor Day! Just kidding... I did over 100 miles half of today on and off in between and unfortunately during rainstorms.
The bad news is I got myself and my scoot soaked way more than I planned on today suring the 100 mile ridr. More bad news is at the beginning of my last 2 mile stretch to go home today I locked up my back wheel doing 5-15mph in a slick parking lot and slid/ dumped my scoot! The good news is I dusted myself off with not even scraped palms as my overly long sleeves saved my skin! My scoot is a lil more scratched and my ego may be bruised & the worst of it was getting gasoline all over ny cloth seat, not noticing it, leaving the scene hastily and accidentally let the gas soak into my clothes until I noticed a burning feeling in my seat area!! I thought it was just water from the rain and soreness from the fall at first!.... but I washed myself off, can replace my clothes and feel like walking away relatively unhurt is good news as long as I am more careful in the future. It feels as though I hut some milestone by having a minor accident, not that the accident itself was a very good thing but now I think I somehow feel better about modifying my scoot with a bbk. Maybe because now that my scoot is more scuffed up I don't feel as bad taking a little risk with a bbk that "may shorten engine life". Thanks for the info GrumpyUnk! And thank you to everyone else on this thread, forum and thanks to Brent for the great website and info also! I wouldn't feel anywhere near confident without all this info fron everyone! I feel about ready for the build soon, either next month or wait until end of the season in case a problem arises.
Ride safe everyone, beware bad weather, bad road conditions and wear protective gear every ride short or far!
