Me and proboards never seem to get along. How do I do a proper post while quoting someone. I click on quote and see the other posters comment. I toss out my 2 cents and submit (save?) My thread shows up but it doesn't differentiate between my words and the quote. It looks like my words are added to the quote. But I see other quote / responses that look right. What am I doing wrong?

I don't see any brackets in the other post. I also don't see any sort of white message board like I would normally expect. I just get a grey background labled "create post" with a create post button to click and below that another section with the same other post again but labled "thread summary" Are you saying I should type in the bracket symbol's surrounding the original post?

A lot of people seem to have trouble with quotes, but it's really simple. Main tip is hit enter a couple of times after the quote so you aren't typing in the quoted area. Watch how fast and easy it is.

What am I doing wrong? On mobile, it's just as easy. Hit return a couple of times to get some space between the quote and what you type. Tap fullscreen to see the video better in portrait mode.

Also, if you want to use only a part of the quote, that's super easy as well.
Remember, for best view tap fullscreen and watch in portrait mode.

Close geoffh. Just gotta make sure you type only AFTER the /quote tag. So, be sure you're at the very end of the post before typing your reply.

90GTVert I looked at a couple of my entries and came up with a half-baked theory on why I seemed to have success sometimes and sometimes not . If a poster finished up a post and after the last character goes straight to the post button, then the quote would end right after the last character. If they hit enter after the last character then the quote would actually end at the start of the next line?
I thought about it and I think that I was clicking on the last line of text at the spot after the last character but if the quote ends on the start of the next line due to the poster hitting enter then maybe I am still within the quote?
