For power the bridged exhaust port cylinder would probably be the choice, but they aren’t forgiving for incorrect tuning. The MK2 sport would be more reliable and easier to tune so it’s a toss up. You’ll still need a pipe I’d guess you’ll be around 11K or so. C16 or the bottom end of a C20/21 so either could be good choices. I’d look and see what you can find second hand in your area.

I have a c16 pipe ok more studuing The stage6 cylinder then. What about pistons there are hundreds of different ones. The timing of the piston must have an impact on port timing have benen looking around the net but very little info on this subject

Nikasil cylinders are difficult to port as the plating laps into each port, that is removed when porting so chances of the bore flaking off is greatly increased..Cast iron cylinders are safe and easy to port! I guess you dont have the original Stage 6 piston for that cylinder? Most all 40 ish mm stroke Mina engines use similar piston designs..Here is some info on that subject; www.mitaka.co.uk/CATALOGUE/SCOOTER_PISTONS.htmwww.mitaka.co.uk/CATALOGUE/PISTON_DIMS_ALL.htm

Just watch the dome height when experimenting with pistons. Some can greatly affect the squish clearance and cause the piston to not clear the ports completely at BDC.

Iam an optimist about porting the flaking problem can be minimized. depending of the tools you are using when porting. At least this have been said to me by some experts and that has to be true? Right ?
dont use the carbid tools they say are a to course and will chip off bits. Try the finer stone ones. And hopfully it will work.
I have been looking around here and there. on the subject. Talked to motcross folks and smowmoile peole to. And they have porting nicasil cylinders with the finer stone bits but we are talking way bigger cylinders than mine.
And i found this Norwegian man ho is a you tuber 2 STROKE STUFFUNG is what he calls him self on the tube. A friskie guy who scezed out 20 rear wheel hp at 17500 rpms on a 50cc some what home made scoot engine. And he also ports nicsil cylinders with the finer stone bits.
And i am going to do some testing on a couple of scrap cylinders first.
But the absolute first is putting it togther without any porting and go dyno it as is. And see what it makes and where in the rpms i want the power band curve to be as wide as possible. between 8000/9000 to 11000/12500 would be on the spot.

Have you considered putting a Polini Corsa on your Kymco Super 9? Just a thought. A lot of people here in Hawaii run Elite, DIO, SYM dd50, or Daelim Cordi type engines. They are pretty fast on the streets. They seem to be pretty reliable because on 3 day weekends, a super huge group of moped/scoot riders go on a cruise, pretty much around the whole island of Oahu. The typical set up is Corsa with a PG short or PG long. The guys with money run the Corsa with an Arrow chamber pipe, or the Scorpion or Sparrow from Scooter Alley on Oahu.

no havent got to rhe super9 yet. I am going to race the cpi because weitgh its about 16 kgs ligther and more nimble. So i think its going to be faster on the tight go cart track. And its mutch esier to find parts for the cpis minarelli copy. But some of the super9 parts is identified it is equpped with a mhr replica cylinder stock crank? 21mm carb naraku 21mm intake some kind of carbon fiber reeds, malossi multivar. Stock cluch malossi spring yellow. tecnigas next r pipe and a boundle of misc parts in three bix boxxes. witch i have put aside. The super9 is probably going back to street use. Its bigger and more comfy to ride i think.

I see what you mean. Here in Hawaii, minarelli parts are very expensive, but most shops here don't even bother with minarelli stuff. Most of the market is for the Honda Elite/DIO. And the Elite parts here is way cheaper than the minarelli parts. As for your Super 9, seems like all it needs is a Corsa or ported Contessa. A common combination here on Oahu is the Malossi full circle crank + Corsa + PG pipe. I love the minarelli, and in my case, I had to spend about twice as much to make the minarelli fast, there were times that I wanted to cross over to the Honda side because parts were cheaper and widely available here. Wishing you success on your race project!

Thanks i am going to need luck. Never fiddeld around with two strokes before. Strange here minarellis are way cheaper to build than hondas and kymcos. You almost dont see any honda scoots her and kymcos where more popular arond the beginning of 2000s. And almost nobody sells tuning parts for kymcos if your lucky you vill find some. And they are twice the price of mina parts. If by a strange lucky coincedence you might find parts for a honda and pay tripple of the price for mina parts.

Another avenue that should be considered is suspension and frame mods..A good setup will be easier to ride for a long time than the cheap stock stuff, quality rear shock, fork mods, frame brace, decent tires and brakes will be worth the effort...

There are (were, back in the days) literally no fast honda's here...only minarelli and piaggio.
