The insulators came on Thursday! Thanks. If it weren’t negative degrees in my garage I would try them on right away... I think the derestricted variator will arrive today. One thing I was considering is installing a switch on the CDI. Has anyone done that? Since it’s derestricted by bridging those two wires it would be simple to put a switch there and have the option to turn it on and off. Seems like a funny idea to have a kind of “turbo” switch. Has anyone done that? Would that cause any issues if used while running? Yup, I have. Visit here. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/17108/updated-cdi-resurrection-video

Hey you know kymco made a bigger intake pipe flange mount for the super 9 . It's larger and straighter or you can just port that stock one

Went and bought longer bolts and put the insulators on today. Made a new foam filter and got that all installed.
I took off the spark plug and it was a burnt out brp7hs so I put a 8hsa on it.
I've been waiting over a month for the unrestricted drive boss from that Taiwan ebay store. Not sure what's going on there.
Ice and snow on the roads so cant really test anything out.

I have contacted the seller three times because I've never been able to track it. No response. Maybe just slow? If this doesnt work out do you have any suggestions for another place to buy one? I found a US-based ebay seller but dont know how if it's the same as your suggestions from that other thread.

I opened up the transmission today to put an unrestricted drive face boss in it but it already had one... Did I read something wrong and only some had a restricted transmission? Or was this thing most likely modified previously?

Got it started today and drove it around the ice covered culdesac. The rear brake doesn't release all the way, so its kinda stuck. If I open it up and clean and grease it should that fix the issue? Or could the spring that provides tension to release the brake be worn out?
I'll likely take it apart and clean it but figured I'd get any thoughts here too.

Could be a combination of all of that and the cable could be in need of lubing. I would disconnect the cable and see if the arm moves freely, and that the spring between it and the housing is in place. Also check the brake lever and cable that it moves freely.

Took the wheel off and fixed the brake. The rear brake cam was stuck. Took everything apart cleaned and greased and it's all good.
