I'm a noob to the forum, and a total noob when it comes to 2 strokes. I have got a d1e41qmb that I have been working on. I finally got it running but it has no low end power at all! Once it gets up to about 15mph it has all the power it needs. Any ideas? Also does anyone know where I can find a manual for these motors? All I can find is manuals for the cvt trans scoots, this one is chain driven(wet trans)... Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

not sure what kind of carb you have, but you may want to try adjusting the fuel\air mixture screw.

It's what Brent said. I've had 2 of these and they are pigs when it comes to acceleration from stop. Just seems to be the nature of the beast.
Oddly enough when they're stone cold the acceleration isn't bad, but once warmed up it is.

i can also say these are very slow. I have had many Yamaha Razz Scooter which are very similar and they just have no power.

Isnt it possible that if you added an extra spacer in between your variator halves that he might gain a lil more power from a stop? I tried taking out that washer that sits against the front pulley drive boss, cuz I thought it was a restriction washer. Turns out it was a very important part, cuz without it my scooter was doing the same thing 80ccqmb is describing. Once i put it back in and it went to normal. I eventually added another one to get my belt even lower .

Your scooter has a dog of an engine and there's really nothing you can do to make it faster. You should sell it to the first guy/mark that wants it and buy a different scooter.
