Are you kick starting or using the electric start? When I first got the d1e41qmb scooter, the PO has installed a new battery. He bought the cheapest scooter battery at Wally-World. It was a 4AH and the CCA was about 60. I started running into starting problems and when I checked the spark it was also intermittent. I replaced the coil and still had the same problem. I checked the stator output and it was correct. When I consulted the manufacturer's website, it said the battery should be 8AH. Measuring the batterybox confirmed that the battery was way too small. I bought a new correctly sized battery and it starts every time now. With the too small battery, it did not have enough capacity to run the starter motor and the coil at the same time. Kick starting the scooter worked every time.
