At the beginning you said "my brand new tire". If I look at the photos, I just see an old tire. In one other thread you ask how to change a scooter tire. If the tire would be brand new, you should know how to do it. Dunno, but all these facts semm a bit strange to me. I also could be wrong. I´m just assuming. Yup, u r strange.

In your big pic...The dark edge around cut dictates object being pushed into tire.

Beets The original photo shows no scuff marks, which indeed would indicate a knife or sharp object wound. After the tire has been messed with, like the large picture shows, scuff marks are meaningless.

Definitely NOT stabbed. Btw, you how sharp a knife must be and how much force you need, to stab a pumped tire? Plus it also would look different. Don't ask how I know but it is amazing easy to shove a knife into the sidewall of a BMW car tire. I don't imagine scooter tires would be tougher.

Yeah I don't know why people are thinking it's a defect. I can see you if tread unraveled off the tire while driving then I call that defect but a slit on the side wall when I just got done riding it it was fine get on in the morning and it's flat okay yeah it's a defect LOL.

I have seen that type of defect many times in person as well as reading dozens of tech articles and reports from the tire industry over the years.

Someone send out CSI to find out if someone murdered that tire or if it died of natural causes.

Gang initiation. Happens all the time out here.
I'm guessing that scooter wheel is maybe two inches wide. If someone stabbed it, wouldn't it have gone through to the other side? Just conjecture here.

Don't be ridiculous no room for facts or past experience here. Only wild speculation. You run over a cat? Maybe he/she slashed it with his/her claw right before you rode away.

Folks...we're leaving out the possibility that this could have come from the top. I mean the very top. As up there as one can get. You know who I'm talking about. The tire factory worker/hitman in China. Someone could have paid him to manufacture a defective tire and send our friend careening off the road. We should be thankful that he was unsuccessful and learn that although we feel untouchable atop our 49cc scooters, even the best of us can fall victim to someone's jealousy fueled motives.

What I'm wondering is how quickly this thread can get onto page 5. It's nearly as long as some build threads! And the mystery only gets deeper.
