Here are some more pictures of the eight pole stator's lose wire, I dont really think it does anything, its only connected to the red wire for the cdi. But maybe you can see better on the new picture, if it's of any importence. The six pole stator: There is 0.8 ohms between the ground wire and the white wire. But its the same on the eight pole stator, only that it does not have a ground wire leaving the stator.

The wires spun around the coils is suppose to be (must be) one long continuous wire. If it is broken the coil won't work. The wire sticking out of the plastered coil is the same thin wire that is used on those plastered coils. The wire sticking out could be a leftover from production. It's hard to tell from a picture. If the coil is broken you will measure indefinitely ohm on that coil. As someone mentioned earlier, try it on. If it works it works, if not it's broken. The wire sticking out, as long as it is one single wire, can just be snipped off. Makes no difference.

Why did you remove that stator in the first place ? Or is it a second hand stator you haven't tested ?

I blew a crank seal, but until then it worked great.

I blew a crank seal, but until then it worked great. I see. That wire must have been sticking out since the scooter left the factory then, probably.
