Well the time has come to make a decision as to which one to keep. So this weekend I shall be doing a serie's of road tests to see which to keep a 100 mile circuit of twisty roads, main roads single track roads and a bit of off road forestry. Comfort, safety, reliability, ease and cheapness of spares. So which will it be Violet the Vespaclone that goes or the Fat Freddy the Django. Watch this space

If you get rid of one you will just buy another one next week. You can't help yourself.

Don't get it twisted. Everyone NEEDS a two-stroke. Four-strokes are wildly frivolous machines with unconscionable amounts of parts, designed with the sole purpose of braggadocious parts diagrams to impress your friends with by fabricating important sounding purposes as you point to bits and pieces that really just make them slower.

I totally disagree- I can't find a single parts diagram for mine

Well it looks like Violet the Vespaclone is the keeper deffo 2 stroke like Brent says. No work in the schools this 8 week's my paycheck at the end of September will be £480 for the support work I do and I wanna get son's wedding paid and out the way even though it's not till next year. His partner's dad can't help out as he is the breadwinner for his 2 sons and other daughter as there mum died when they were young and just had to bury his 18yr old daughter last year then earlier this year go back to Portugal and bury his dad so their financial state is pretty dire. Plus this time of year hopefully I will get a good price now the sun is shining maybe £2000 maybes not FrankenMech you are absolutely right of course I will buy another scooter but something cheap and cheerfully to play with or whinge about 😊. Plus work with the council are changing my contract so they so I will get a minimum of 30hrs a month pay which will cover the long school holidays even though most months of the year I do more but good to have in winter.

OK this might not make me popular but,its good practice to have 2 running scoots if they are used for your employment, keep them both and scale back the wedding plans to something the happy couple can afford and not what will look good facebook.

Geoff Hi Geoff you haven't made yourself unpopular at all. The wedding is scaled back to what's affordable so we no worries there. I need to get to get rid of one as don't see the point of £2000 ish sat there when not used much and with lack of work and bills to pay just makes sense, to me that is 😊 to get rid of in summer and kill off two birds with one stone. I've still got the rat scooter as well and the Nissan micra shed so never short of transport. I do feel for young people who think they got to pay 10,000 odd on a wedding because that what telly magazines and facebook says but luckily Owen and Ana don't live in that world.

Dare I say it but perhaps the Peugeot might of been the more reliable option! with good spares backup. I can't really talk though as I love a two stroke. And have had two scooters where I have spent way more in parts alone, than the value of said scooters.

Well turn up for the books. . My son saw the advert for the scoot for sale and asked why. I told him and he said no way, sell my scooter and dont worry about the wedding. So I get to keep both. Just gotta get his started after a year of standing

Excellent news 👍 You didn't try to sell it to him? You could of had the money. And borrowed the scooter as well.
