So if I got a new throttle tube and a new throttle cable, I should be good to go then, correct?
Should I be looking at performance throttle setups or would that be overkill for a daily driver/street/non-hyper race setup?

I saw the setup you just posted before, but it’s quite a bit more expensive for just the cable+throttle tube. I’ve been talking to ST about an order that got messed up anyway, so I think I’m just gonna ask if I can order that first cable and have them charge new a few bucks for the tube. I don’t need the whole conversion kit since I decided to premix this one.
Thanks for helping me understand what I need to get going. Much appreciated! This scoot is quickly becoming damn near an entire top and bottom rebuild lol. Started out as just a derestriction and once over at first haha. I haven’t even loosened a nut to speak of on it yet and have already dropped at least $700-$800 dollars on upgrades hahaha! Might as well get it done sooner rather than later.

If your happy with the OEM switches you’ll just need a cable. The idea for the replacement tube is so the throttle cable doesn’t become disconnected because of the lack of stop. You can drill and tap a screw in the OEM housing that becomes the stop. You will still need a cable to swap carbs but it saves a few $$

Already dropping $1,200 on other parts for this things and I'd rather save the throttle/handlebar mods for later. That'll be perfect for now! So i just need a 76" motion pro cable, right? How do I know exactly where to put the hole? Roughly the spot in the pic will be close enough?

Sweet thank you. Looks just like the one scoot tuning has, but ST’s is a couple bucks cheaper and it’s blue so I’m gonna go with that one hahaha. I like perty thangs

I’m gonna start a build thread since this is quickly turning into a full rebuild.
On a side note, I watched the vid of you, Brent and the other dude and your scoot is dope. What do you have done to the rear end to get it’s stance so mean looking? Did you trim body panels or something?

Thanks for the kind words! The rear fender was skimmed down by pulling off unnecessary plastic junk, signals relocated to the tail light housing, the wheels are a big change, there has been a lot done to my Zuma so I can’t say it’s one thing. Take a look through my build there’s pictures of many mods along the way. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/18761/2008-zuma-keeper

What gears would you recommend for a daily driver on the Zuma with a Corsa? I just want a good compromise between a little more top end, but still not a slug off the line.

With 43/13 you’ll be at 10.9:1 which is a good compromise between acceleration and top speed. The Corsa should carry you to 60 plus with a decent pipe.

Okay sweet. I have a yasuni r waiting for it. Has that pipe on two other minarellis and loved it stock. Seemed like it would do well to keep the Corsa properly streetable too.
