Anyone have much experience getting things shipped internationally?
Looking for a set of 13/43 primary gears for my Zuma and cannot find anything but Jasil anywhere and I prefer to go with other brands. Scooter Tuning is out of stock and all I can find is international shops. Anyone have any advice or a spare set of gears haha?

I've dealt with scooter-attack and sipscootershop at least a few times each. I just check the shipping prices before I finalize checkout. Sometimes they aren't too bad and express options are barely more than standard at times. If they are bad, then I either try adding something else to the cart and see if it changes or I wait for restock closer to home. You can always contact scootertuning and see if they know when they will get them.
I see that scootertuning has Malossi 13/44 in stock and Polini 13/44 available in 4-10 days. 13/43 is 10.94:1 with stock secondaries. 13/44 is 11.19:1, so that's not a huge difference. Main thing there (assuming you aren't hell bent on sub 11:1) is you would have to do some pressing or get it done, because those don't come with the intermediate gears setup to just drop in.

Okay, I'll look into those sites. I'm familiar with them, but have no first-hand experience. I'm already ordering a ton of parts from Scooter Tuning and Dynoscooter, so I hate to have to add more to a cart to make shipping sensible.
I'm already speaking with ST about other stuff, so I'll ask them about restocking when they respond to my other questions lol.
I've never messed with gears before so I wasn't sure how big of a difference the 11.19:1 would make compared to 10.9:1. I know 11:1 is what everyone shoots for and I do want more top-end. How much of a compromise would I realistically be making with the 11.19:1?

My gears in T2 are 11.2:1. I just went 67MPH at under 11,000RPM. I'd only worry about the difference of 0.3:1 if you are really concerned with every last MPH. If I had to guess, I'd guess about 2MPH difference maybe. ...And by guess I mean I plugged some numbers into calculators. lol

You could try racingplanet.com see what they have. They ship from Europe to their U.S site all the time.

I remember to use the calculators about 50% of the time haha. Not sure why I didn't think to use the damn things this time. Common sense is not so common... I'm proof.

When I lived in Melbourne, Not for scooter parts, but for ham radio parts, I'd buy a bunch to make it worth it. I'd find a buddy to ship to dirt slow speed in the US and repack it in USPS flat rate boxes. Whatever was big, repack it all together in a big package and just ship. I'd always save a bit.

So you shipped to US, then to Australia? That seems like it would be more expensive?
