Yup, I'm some kind of an idiot. I went and bought three two stroke scoots, sight unseen for 125$. Two vertical Yamaha Razz, and one....ETon Beamer2.... WTF have I done?..
I'll probably sell the Yammis and keep the Beamer... Needs a stator, no spark with known good pickup and cdi, so its down to that. Of course, I cannot find my flywheel puller, but I finally remembered it was stolen when my mother and her boyfriend broke into my house.
Evennif I don't keep the Yamaha's I recon 125 wasn't a terrible deal. Everything's here, its been played with by people that shouldn't be allowed to have tools....

And so it begins.

Yup. I will be ordering everything as work allows, but basically the Yamaha twins were honestly just fluff on top of the Beamer. Since they were sight unseen, I was stupidly thinking the yammis would be horizontal, but no such luck.
Not sure what to do with the Razz(es). Might build this Beamer motor and do a swap. Those tiny light bikes are begging for 72cc...or more..

Damnit. Were these 24 or 27 LH thread? I'll measure it tomorrow. Amazing the stupid things that get forgotten when you're not actively using the knowledge.. .

I have the vertical engine in my slider. Not loads of parts to build them. Quite old, and availability drying up. Still a fun motor though.

Yeah, but the issue with the Razz is that crappy single ratio chain drive. I'd kill to be able to ditch that, but its not gonna happen. Soooooo, they get to get running better and off they go. I don't think a Mina would drop in without a ton of fab work, and I am currently sans welder. Again, boned by the family that bore me. Life is short, you CAN decide who is family. And who is NOT.....

Deck the head on the razz ditch the head gasket use copper spray instead to up the compression . That will up the torque a bit .
Upsize the tires if they are close to shot . That will give you a couple miles up top. Otherwise they get expensive swapping and modding .
For the price you got them, you could bomb around with a buddy after too many beers and take them off road dirtscooting.

The raspberries can sit and wait for a while. I'm having a problem with this PN2 at the moment. The moment the battery is connected, the. oil starts firing. Like from the mount tabs to anything it can reach, its firing. I need a wiring diagram.
This is tuebinly time I have ever wished I hadn't modified Jr so heavily. My other beamer is missed so its totally naked, and has no visible wires. The entire harness is cooked under the seat, and modified to be safe, so I'm in the dark about this now....

Thanx got that issue solved.
This bike is extremely odd. Every other Beamer I have seen, will run fine without a battery, or with a dead one. This one won't. Needs the battery to fire.
Got that sorted out, and pulled the jug to get a look inside. Glad I did. Looks like a milk shake in there. So, out comes the motor, filled with K1 set for an hour dump fill with k1 rinse dump and blow with air nozzle. Ugh. Did some work to the reed cage and intake to match them better. Will be using a spacer to raise the reeds and will see where the piston crown sits at bdc with thin gasket, maybe use a shim...not sure

Your ETon beamer must be like my Matrix. DC. I hate it. I just converted it to AC stator and CDI yesterday because the stock setup could not, and will not, charge the battery. New stator, rectifier, and still no charging. But, lucky me now I can ride it with a dead/no battery. Some of those Eton's had the CDI with two wires to cut. No cut wires, 18mph top speed. 1 cut wire, 25mph top speed. both cut for no restriction. For 125 sight unseen, I think you did good.

In the service model supplements it told me to cut the green wire on the back of my beamer to fully unrestrict it. Like Dexameth mine also was a DC stator so I had to have a good battery to start it.

Both of the Beamers I had before were in fact DC but ran fine without a battery. Ask Moofus, he was the one that confirmed I wasn't insane at first.....
I've got it cleaned out, and slapped back together now, just chasing electrical demons. I'll probably end up getting another stator and shit to make this one like the others.
The Razz(es) I've decided to sell off as soon as I find someone that is willing to tackle that bad idea.

Thats the cdi I have too. Niz is da shit for that hack. ~$80 saved vs the ETon unit. Would you happen to know what the other little box is under the R/R? Six wires, brown color has ETon stamped in it... I feel this is something I knew, or at least should have known, but just can't seem to remember....
